I am!

Rain was heavy and intense. A tonne of my neighbours plant broke as he’s done nothing to support em but all of mine are dandy!

There’s so much resin on some of the buds it’s acting as waterproofing

An old landscaping trick is to tie twine around the entire plant until it’s relatively tight before intense weather.

Mostly on cedars for snow load but I see no reason it wouldn’t work on cannabis in a heavy storm :+1:

Just remove it after.

I used bamboo stakes to build a support system and for some LST while the plant was growing in early summer. It ended up becoming a great support system for the plant now that it’s a lot bigger! Def a good move!

Anyone crop after the first major frost kills the plant?

I cropped just literally a minute ago… I found a teeny spot of mold and may have freaked.

Plant looks great! Doggo disgustingly cute!

When “was” that supposed to hit the chop? I’m thinking about my mid Oct ladies.

I cheated and light deped that from Mid July… Mid October isnt really feasible at 55N, in Alberta. Im pretty much on schedule but I fed it a week or so ago and it really started plumping so I was hoping to push at least a few more days.

many times, I just monitor for bud rot and remove all the leafs that die each frost

You guys prepared for this 48 rain storm?! Probably overkill on my part but I ain’t chancing it!!

I watered a whole 1L worth of nutes to each of my 20-30gallon net pots yesterday morning in hopes of a bit of a dry out before the deluge. My defoliation + silica dosing should help them weather the worst of it; and that the fabric pots are above the flood line in raised beds so there is never any standing water.

You know 100% im gonna be out there with my leaf blower and then spraying em all down with h202+potassium bicarbonate as soon as it’s going to dry out.
