my parents down that way are still without power

We got lucky, the power out was all around us, rather like the storm, we didn’t get much rain and according to my weather station wind speed thingy, max speed for the 24 hours was 76kmh. We have a big hill behind us and we are in a cove on the river so we get a lot of protection from wind until it comes from the NE then its right in your face.
