The Canadian Contingent (Part 2)

I know this guy who can produce weed for 50 cents a gram on his farm. The rules say you owe the government “1$ per gram or 10% of the price, whichever is higher”. So it costs him 50 cents to grow it and the CRA demands 1$ per gram. Yo that’s nuts if you ask me. My friend produces rosin carts and makes 3 cents per cartridge. But you know ma government gets it’s cut. I could go on with the horror stories.

My god, it’s absolutely stupid! Idk what they are thinking with numbers like that, how’s anyone supposed to make money? What a joke! Probably why the Cali/Colorado markets will always decimate ours until we smarten up

lol! shifty eyes IF you examine the numbers… You owe the government 1 cent per milligram of thc you put in some product. So this “guy” manufactures skin lotion with 150mg thc in there. Cost 1.50 owed to the CRA to make that product. Guess what? That’s the estimated number of milligrams in a gram of bud. 100mg. So even at that, you are still… paying them 1$ per gram. Riddle me this. Was that math a coincidence? Or did the government know, and got some egg heads to make sure that they got the sweetest plum?

Oh definitely! This whole thing simply comes down to greed . Cannabis has absolutely exploded the last 7-10 years and they wanted their piece of the pie. They could care less about medicine or jobs etc. all about lining pockets. I knew this was gonna be a disaster from day 1 but nobody listened. :disappointed: now look at the state it’s in

Whole thing is setup like a house of cards. It will crumble eventually

Oh that shit is just the tip of the iceberg. When you are growing weed, that’s what you are licensed to do. So you grow it, someone else processes it, and then it’s packaged. hum de dum you show up with your big sacks of frozen weed to the processors. They take that and the loot to make it happen. After it’s done they declare bankruptcy because, who knows. So they sell your product to cover the creditors bill and you get jack shit. Or you are growing the weed and it’s almost harvest time. Suddenly the rain then sleet and snow start. Crop is wiped out by a wall of hail. So on. You think there’s someone to bail your ass out? hah hah phone the CRA and see if they care. They’re your business partner after all, lol!

Here’s an example of gov think

Hypothetically speaking, a fella makes shine , don’t shop well so it costs him 8$ to make a 750ml of some fine sippin shine, not including time or the bit of electricity to run his still.
People like it, the fella enjoys making it so it’s a hobby.
Seagrams 83 is 28$ a 750ml here , people are happy at 20$ for the fella’s whiskey.
12$ per 750ml in the pocket, nice return for a hobby.
Go legit , pay for permits and etc, the liquor board sez “You make 12$ in profits we need 12$ in taxes.” Then you pay tax on income and have to charge 32$ to make the 12$ before tax .

All hypothetically speaking of course because distilling is illegal here but the tax scheme is real .

I just gave a UK Cheese clone to a friend and his brother has a bunch of mothers he’s gonna let me know what cuts to see if I’m interested in anything. He did remember that there was a g13 grown out from Barney’s Farm and I clearly said: YES PLEASE.

Y’all run out of bags of milk and are stuck in the self checkout lanes at Shoppers ?

I’d trade a pint of the “45%” whiskey for a pint homemade preserves with anyone in my local that I can link up with .

as the red light is flashing on two of the three checkouts needing a reset as people got fed up and left because of the weight triggering basket holders and there is only one cashier dealing with someone trying to use their points, get cigarettes and lotto tickets and do a return all at one.

I know nothing of said situations that could occuer.

Homebrew though i should start a batch as i haven’t done so in awhile, wonder if sugar is on sale at shoppers
