The Central American landrace and heirloom thread (Part 1)

Wow, cool bugs!

Red Snake came down a week ago…airy, wispy, pearly. She was too wet for the jar yesterday so I put her back in the tray and covered her. This morning I worry I went too far because of the low humidity in the house. So in the jar she went with a boveda pack and hoping she stabilizes.

One thing is for sure, those airy sativas cure best in the same environment they come from. Humid. Those airy ass buds can turn into a dry cracker overnight.

Ask me how I know? I will tell you. Colorado Springs and the winter humidity is like 10%.
I am from Louisiana where even in winter I struggled to get my grow room under 60% RH. The difference is astounding.

I love seeing your red snake grows. I’ve got a few beans I’m sitting on. I’m admittedly a bit of a cannabiogen fanboy.

Thanks man! Yeah, me too…I really like the Cannabiogen stuff. I have had some excellent plants from the Red Snake line obviously, but his Punto Rojo is also terrific and seems to be a good example of the type. I have tried Durban and got a gorgeous elegant plant. Purple Mexican was delicious tasty smoke. Michoacan Cream is always fantastic. Any of the Peyote Purple crosses will be good and I have grown several different ones now.

The Destroyer looks like it finished fantastic. And your Colombian Gold is a labor of love well worth the effort. How are the aromas? Any chance could get some super close shots?

Happy New Year everyone! Hope to see some more stellar grows in 2023, and thank you so much to everyone who shared seeds with me this year, really appreciate it.

I’m not sure how this thread keeps getting muted on me. It happened again and it’s never happened with any other thread. Any ideas why?
