The dirty secret of California’s legal weed

This is so true

Locks may keep honest people out, but they slow down dishonest people enough to catch them on the hidden camera.

Certainly some of the time, but I’d be willing to bet they don’t catch even half the folks who break into, for example, typical residences.

Only for people who don’t have them. I would further advise anybody to stay far away from cloud based security systems because they are not secure. Everything should be local with a replication to an off site backup with everything encrypted.

100% agree even though local security is still vulnerable for attacks a cloud based security system has way more open doors.

Keep everything local and backed up as needed. Those “Ring” brand cameras are a no go for me.

And if you want a more secure system keep it off the network just note this will stop from you having access to your system when not home.

I manage my own edge, too. I use two of these for firewalls running OPNSense:

Supreme Court ruled that police are under no obligation to protect or serve… :pensive:

Yeah, I keep telling people in Virginia that you DO NOT want dispensary weed, but they keep bitching about they need access…fuckin idiots…can’t wait to buy and smoke some poison.
I suffer horrible effects from weed that is grown with neem…I will get sick with gut wrenching results.
Many years ago I became aware of why weed was making me sick. That is when I started to grow my own, long before any legalization was thought of.
I grow such good weed that I don’t ever even want to smoke someone else’s let along go to somedispensary and smoke that garbage.

Soon we will have cafes. This could be a great way for people to get introduced to new growers who may be organic or no pesticide etc. They are trying to model it after Netherlands cafes.

I feel like sitting outside those places to pull folks over will be the new DUI checkpoints near bars. Driving while high laws are already a bunch of bullshit (many of the “maximum levels” in various places can be achieved with zero consumption within 24 hours), so that’ll be an interesting wrinkle they’ll have to sort out.

That’s great I think the pacific coast is perfect for the cafes, especially on the ocean, that’s a dream, to sit there above the cliff looking at the waves, checking out the menu… in new york I can see it working in music venues maybe, might be a good way to bring back a live music scene

I enjoyed the bluebird and pink floyd and a few other small coffeeshops in amsterdam back in the day. Was nice to chill, some not so much.

Here is the class action lawsuit brought against SHIELD MANAGEMENT GROUP, LLC
d/b/a WEST COAST CURE.

They have recently asked the judge to dismiss the case but I do not see any information on whether it was dismissed or not.
