NOOOOO! bad idea! Mold starts inside and works it’s way outward. The only thing I would even consider is possibly infusing it into edible oil at high temperatures and finally filtering it out and I would carefully inspect any final product under extreme magnification to make sure nothing nasty leaked through, but even then I would be cautious and make sure you know exactly what you are dealing with because not all mold is created equal and you could be poisoning yourself. It is just not worth the risk IMO.
I have my ac infinity set for 60% rh. When it hits that, even during lights off, it will pull in fresh air. I will never buy another brand of fan.
My mom runs a dehum in her downstairs den. She empties it twice a day and not a single plant in sight!
Our air is rather dry, there are humidifiers in other bedrooms I just would rather avoid leaving my bedroom door open all day. The exhaust fan is noticeably louder than the bathroom fan even with the door closed. I’m trying to avoid disturbing the rest of the family. Though through the winter the heat and humidity will actually be welcome I the rest of the house…
Huh sounds like you need a clever way to switch or mix the air between those rooms. Is your heating forced air? If so you can leave the furnace fan on 24/7 and the house air should all blend together eventually.
I’m trying to avoid cutting holes through the walls… and unfortunately no, not on central/forced air.
Just saw the thread that sux man feel for you mine died while i was stuck in the hosp thankfully i think i was able to salvage. About an oz
Peace out stay safe and merry xmas
Well… there is the thin wall in my closet that adjoins the closet in the next room. I could run a dryer vent through that wall without having any issues… just have ductwork running along my wall into my closet. That along with a fan upgrade should solve this problem!
@Badger would you be able to sleep in the room with that AC infinity running at night?
I’ve never heard the airframe run tbh. They seem like an awesome fan, and they will move alot of air (200 cfm). That’s the same basically as their 4 inch inline, so it depends on how much you need to move. Would a lower setting be enough?
Also, that fan actually doesn’t have a humidity setting, which may be helpful for you.
The crawlspace and basement fans do have humidity settings. Look at those.
I have an 8 inch inline that kicks on with high humidity in my bedroom, and I sleep through it kicking on and off. It only has to run on 2 though.
I only need a 4” fan, that sounds promising!
@anon5325009 Ac Infiniti?
@CADMAN Generic inline fan off Ebay
My fan is loud lol even on the lowest settings.
Was hopeful it was a new super quiet model
You got the same version or the old style?
Yeah mine is an older Vortex from flebay about 3 or 4 years ago.
That’s an idea, but is there an issue with heat buildup?
Now that my bloom section is clear , I moved all my 16oz manifold plants over and unplugged the three panel light fixture. Those 4 plants were taking up 2/3 of a shelf by themselves, up potting two of them and flipping them this week if they look good. now I have room to up pot the tester plants and let them veg another week or two while I take clones, then into bloom they go!
Now what to do with all this soil…
Also, the sad difference in size of the smaller plants I did harvest compared to the big ones .
Banana kush stem (stick) on the left, one of the big girls…
Heat buildup?
I’m pretty sure inline fans cool their selves down, if you think about it, the air flow passes thru the fan motor every time.
