This seems familiar- Seamonkey84’s first grow in 12+yrs

One plant is showing some issues. My first guess is Mg deficiency, I didn’t mix much garden lime into this bucket. I spread 2 tablespoons of lime on the surface (3gaL bucket) worked it in and watered.

Oh, right, basically three weeks into bloom.

This is the one that I didn’t do the final trimming on till a week into bloom. It’s behind and a lot less filled out compared to her sister. With the amount they stretched at this point, I may not have needed to chop them back this far, but better safe than sorry.

Now the one I just up potted in place of the hermi I removed.

Well that bigger banana kush that i up potted first doesn’t look too good. I figured it was a mg issue since I didn’t add extra garden lime to the promix. Last week I added a couple table spoons of the garden lime as top dressing and worked it in, it was from the bottom of the bag so it was mostly powder not pellet. That didn’t seem to help, I watered with some Epsom salt today, see if it helps turn it around, but it’s not looking good. For the most part I just added a tablespoon each of bone meal and kelp meal per gallon of mix, then I watered in with Alaskan fish emulsion. I added a little bit of what I had left of the trifecta plus mix, but it wasn’t much.
Besides all that, I changed out the bulbs so I have a more even blend of 2700/5000k, with a slight lean to the 2700k side.
I also have the 16oz manifold challenge going on, and I just soaked some tester seeds.

I didn’t get a pic of the sickly kush today, but I got this closeup of the bigger grease monkey

Banana kush not looking good.

Everyone else looks better every day

the grease monkey that I did the pruning on a week into bloom is definitely lagging behind/stunted compared to her sister.
Side by side of the two sisters, one cola at each finger tip

Here’s the two big girls, critical on the left, grease monkey on right

My little manifold base for the 16oz challenge. Cut pieces of a cover for a styrofoam box

Hi @Seamonkey84
Grow is looking good. I see that one plant giving you issues. I’m a coco guy, but it looked familiar.

Possibly…???

I thought of both calcium and potassium. Potassium issue makes more sense now, I only added a couple tablespoons of kelp meal and bone meal, mixed and planted right away. Plus it started from bottom up. If it was cal or mg issue, I’d see improvements by now.

This looks like a cal/mag issue to me…and the red stems indicate they are hungry for more food in my opinion.

I think They’ve been red since the day they sprouted :slightly_smiling_face:. Solid stems too, not hollow. But yea, I was a bit behind of starting the liquid feed.
No, looking back they were green :man_facepalming: They have been getting dyna-gro every watering for a week now.

I buy calmag by the gallon since i switched to quantum board leds. My plants are whores for it under leds.

Yea I might have to get that to use in soil. Or just be more careful with my additives like garden lime and use of Epsom salt.

What are your air temperatures and RH with the quantum boards?

Right around 80 degrees and around 60 percent humidity. Im running a small heater in the tent.

The tent build continues.

Oh, forgot, tester seeds are up. Well, 10 out of 11 of the blackwater x Apollo 11/13 testers are sprouted, one hasn’t even cracked when I just dug it up to check. Replanted and moistened some more, give it another couple of days. Both of the Big league grape are up and going too.

Nice thread, theres huge progression in your garden and the plants are doing good. One a grower, always a grower I guess

I’ll be sure to stop by more often!

Thanks for stopping by! Yea, kinda like riding a bike, lots of new models, attachments and tricks, but it’s still a bike lol. But as with most ventures that start without prep or planning, I keep getting ahead of myself and still haven’t completely finished my grow tent . I still need circulation fans for the flower chamber, also one for the lower shelf of the veg side, and an exhaust fan for the veg side still. It’s all kinda half assed still, keeping the tent doors open and pointing a fan at them when I can…

Setting it all up, maintaining and improving the garden is half the fun :). I’m constantly thinking about ways to spruce up my setup, window-shopping the online stores and of course extracting the inspiration from people like you. Just wish I had some more space to play with… but then again, the guys with 3 rooms probably do as well :joy:.

New addition last night, some reptile uvb bulbs. Starting with two to harden off the plants. Yes they are the weaker 13w ones, but it’s just for supplementing some spectrum and UV, and they’re going to be within the 6-8” effective range of The UV output for animals to make vit D, so should do something.

You aren’t supposed to plan or prep. You’re supposed to pop seeds, then ask questions later, so good job on that! :joy:

If you start out kind a half assed, small improvements seem huge.

I need to find a shelf soon, or I’m gonna run out of room fast.

Well I thought I knew what I was doing, until I realized experience doesn’t mean crap when you don’t have the equipment.

We just get excited bro. Make due till you get it where you want it to be. It will work out either way.
