Times are Tuff. Bag Seed Grow

That leaf curl, if not heat, then what’s your humidity like?

Oh I’m sorry I forgot to add that. Its been around 45-50 the whole grow. I never got a humidifier. I will be getting one for my next grow.

Could be a bit low for that plant, but I and many people, seem to have the opposite problem. I need to get a dehumidifier or vent the heat and humidity into another room

It wasn’t that bad during the summer. I do run my light at night to prevent huge temperature swings. I really think that this particular plant is just really picky about what she likes. She is producing beautiful buds so she can’t be that upset. I’m just glad she’s almost done. Can’t wait to run @Hoppy 's HOPSCOTCH.

I lost almost my entire first harvest to bud rot, got really muggy in the tent :confounded:. They were my practice bag seed plants, but were producing beautifully until the rot. Gearing up for round two, 4 orange goji f2 that I’m going to selectively pollinate individual branches with some different pollens, and some tester plants. Actually… my next batch and three after are all scheduled for test strains, will hardly be able to touch any of the seeds I’ve collected since joining OG :joy:. Just a few to make sure I have a full tent when I go to flip, plus I have mothers and clones of the previous batch to make sure it have a full docket.

Dang the whole thing?! Did you not see it coming? Or was it something that happened fast? I only had an issue with rot on a couple of buds on an outdoor grow a long time ago. It was all nice on the outside but once I started to trim some were halo and dark brown. :worried:

I saw some buds that were really close together start to get some white mold, chopped those branches and nearby ones to open up air flow for the rest of the plant. I was able to get some non molded bud from that, and I had two small plants that finished earlier. Then a week later, I noticed it on another plant, and then saw it had spread to every thing, even if it was just the start of it, every branch had buds that showed signs of infection. So got just over an ounce dried out of it all. Besides not having a dehumidifier, I also shut my exhaust fan off an hour after lights out, it’s very loud and my tent is in my bedroom. So with humidity building up all night…

Hey @nefrella this is for you.

This baby almost came off but I could tell it was a big producer so I braced it and put a band-aid on her.

I still needed to move that branch so I pinched her and put her where I needed her to be. Its not the prettiest job but she’s still a big producer. I think the reason why she got so brown because the branch was broken and holding on to dear life when I pinched and moved her. But she’s ok. Got a little nute burn but she’s doing fine. She’s a very picky beast.

That really sucks man. At least you were able to salvage some of it. Something always happens to someone at somepoint. Every time I grow there is something I learn to do differently. Its really horrible when you are just about done your grow and something like that happens. If it happens in the beginning you can just scrap it and go again.

I’m feeling some reservations that after 60 days these babies are coming down ready or not. Anyone ever feel that way? Lol. I’m just really excited for the next grow. Idk. I did come this far. Another 10 days is nothing in the grand scheme of things. I’ll know when I know right.

@LilJonB have you tested the buds yet? if they smoke at all to your liking

whack them down and move on to the next grow

it has happen to everyone that has grow inside or out for any length of time

I have to whack down a grow down at 5 weeks of flowering because of a security threat

it is part of the game we play

Bugs ran me out of my grow room last spring thank god it was spring

I had five gallons of unleaded and a zippo to clean with

I have been doing 8 week flower runs back to back since I started back up

4 or 5 years ago noow

outside this year was so much fun so little work and did pounds and pounds of

great smoke

and tons of stuff for pills so I am good

but I for one need to grow as idle hands are the Devils playground

and I have been known to make some very very bad choices

so My Friend you are not the only grower to have a problem and you will not be the last

and soon enough you will be telling some new grow the same thing

all the best and be well

Dequilo

Hey and if you need anything ask I will help you if I can

Lol, D@mn it was that bad?! The horror!
The thing is its not for me. This grow isn’t really for me technically. I got the Runtz bag seed from one of my buyers. I’m running him over a sample tomorrow to see what he thinks. I want to do the plant justice and be fair and grow it to its potential. I also what it to produce so I can use that money for grow equipment and seeds. What I have now is enough to do what I want to do. I think.
Dose anyone else feel weird about talking about dealing? I know alot of us are not withing the guidelines of the law. But still. That topic dont float around here that often.
That plant has nothing on the one thats in DWC is really good. The high is very nice. Very calming. I feel like it is the best strain for me yet. Some strains I have a hard time smoking cause of anxiety. Some people dont get it.
This is the first time ever ran these seeds. I’m lucky cause I have alot of them. I was going to throw you together something after I self some ZKITTLEZ autos if you wanted them. I know you have enough of alot right now :sunglasses:
Well I know I have enough will power to keep them till there 60 days are up. Just deciding when to flush them. Just found a jewl loop and the trichomes aren’t even cloudy yet. Dose flushing help speed up there finish. Or you think its purely just for a clear smoke?

I got my my Bysameyee USB microscope today! I’ll post some sample pictures tomorrow.

Alrighty here are the pictures I took with the new microscope!

This is the Bastard RUNTZ Bag seed. She’s looking pretty milky.

This is the FOREST CANDY. She’s looking milky as well. When both plants began to develop trichomes it looked like the RUNTZ had more. But now that I look at it like this I can really see what’s up.

The only thing I dont like about this microscope is that when in the stand the stand the focus is positioned at the bottom making it a little difficult to use. But once you have it where you need it everything is great. For 25 bucks its a steal.
PS. Make sure you take the protection lens off before use. Your pictures will look alot better lol.

Looks awesome! When you are checking triches for harvest, make sure your looking at the buds and not the sugar leaves. I’m looking into something like that too, the loop that archaea to my phone isn’t easy to focus with.

I’ve seen leaves recover, but the new growth is what you wanna watch…its not like a hooker…where has she been?..but is she healthy and safe…lol

I took the sample off the bud. I didn’t want to take a whole bud. Maybe a little later. Sugar leaves… now is that the by-product of the trim off a bud or is it a leaf of the bud that still has the same structure of a fan leaf but with trichomes? I was always confused about that.

The red I considered to be sugar leaves.
The blue is what I took a sample from.
Or are sugar leaves bigger?
But your right about trying to hold something that magnifies still is a task. Especially if you shake without a strong cup of coffee. @nefrella told me it works best in the stand. I would never be able to hold my phone and operate this thing steadily.

I’m really not to concerned at this point. I have already begun the flushing process on the plant in soil. Once the level drops in hydro she’s getting straight water as well.

I consider it any little leaf covered in “sugar” lol. I’ve had fan leaves get frost at the base where it’s closer to the buds, but they aren’t covered.

That makes sense. I tend to over think everything.
