Calm down TT
Don’t think u need to cover your plants man
Ahhhaaa! I needed that! been a long day. You’re a legend in your own mind! Ha!
Oh yeah, he’s gotta cover them. I’m in southern Colorado and today was 98ish, raining and 40’s by 3am, then snow starting at 3pm at my house with 10-14 inches snow in 24 hours. We drop to 24° tomorrow night. With snow till lunch Thurs.
I’ve been scrambling to make a greenhouse igloo over my two large plants in the ground. I couldn’t finish tonight so I may have to in the rain in the AM.
The winds are supposed to be relentless out of the north. No time to get ready for this. Everyone is scrambling to cover garden and weed plants. Supplies were nowhere to be found in town except for PandaFilm at the grow shop. I bought a roll I couldn’t have planned for. Not sure if my efforts will be enough either. My two largest plants are in the ground and 4 weeks into flower. It would be painful to loose them. SSDD & an (AK-47 x NL) x Super Skunk. Both are beauties in every way.
Good luck and best vibes. Looks to be an epic Front Range storm. I hope I save mine. They’ve had a long journey. peace
Man that’s crazy. I believe you. I thought it got darker sooner there
@Tinytuttle. Get your ass up and cover your plants with some sheets or something
So how is all this gonna effect your harvest?
Suppose to hit 32f or lower.
Well hopefully it would help with increased resin Levels but who know?
Ya it’s getting nasty 48 now 9:24 will drop below 40 after midnight and snow around 4 am
Wyoming was getting snow the afternoon
Hey @Tinytuttle. How was your night? What’s the weather there? What does the extended for casts predict in your parts? Hope all is well man
Well, if I lose both plants, probably 2-4 lbs. won’t happen.
It’s 39 here, and blowing 20+ with light rain. I didn’t get any cover made for the large ones. I planned on it this morning but the rain came about 8 hours early. I’m in the process of bringing things inside. The large ones will go downstairs, and the latest batch upstairs.
If nothing else I’m hoping maybe the rain and snow will insulate the plants some and I won’t lose the whole thing. I’m going to keep brainstorming. I may get a cover on but I wasn’t planning on this wind and not sure it’ll hold up. Fuck! Gonna be 60 in a couple of days and probably be dry and mild for a while… with two less weed trees…
I hate to say it but would love some rain or snow even if it wipes out my grow . We have heat and wind and smoke . I would rather have my home make it through this nightmare season . Besides I still have jars of weed some getting old but still gets me high .
just ride it out have had plants survive worse that that in the midwest.
Here’s what is current we had a dusting of snow this AM around 5:30 the wind was bad last night and afternoon I have one plant that the cover didn’t stay on she wet but may make it need to cover today or it won’t make it through the night it’s my patio plant may try some large 50 gallon trash bags from work
Looks like may have their coats on for a couple days at least
Sorry to hear of your fire problems over there @gramps as well ,this weather should help the fire efforts couple fires were getting out of hand one grew from 20,000 to 80,000* acres in a 2 days or so it’s not good by any means hard rugged terrain that can not fight fires on foot anyways winds made for impossible chopper drops hoping things turn around Shortly!
That is some strange weather for sure. Did you have these problems last year?
@corey We dont usually see this kind of shit till the end of Oct.
Hey man. How are your plants doing
They’ll make it warmer days from here on out my patio. Plant got a bit of FUBAR hopefully the damn bugs died in the process
Man that’s great news!
whew - congrats on a disaster averted - at least for now. stay safe!
