Beautiful plant. Iā€™m looking forward to having some big ones myself at some point in the future.

Resin building quickly nowā€¦still small but real thick.
Iā€™m trying to think of the last Indica bud I smoked. 2018, maybe. Been awhile. Iā€™ve smoked some modern ( dispensary)crap in the meantime, but nothing did a thing for or to me.

The plants are humming along, getting bigger every day. Smells are evolving. More stank in there now. Pungent, gas/ diesel type smell with a few.
Miss Pistachio is still heavily pistachio/ citrus smelling with a strong musky undertone.
Another has that sweet perfume smell. Iā€™ve smelled this before. Exactly. Years ago,a co-workers cousin smoked me up with some super tasty indoor. He wouldnā€™t tell me what it was. I knew someday I would find weed that smelled like that pot tasted. I wasnā€™t expecting to find it in these plants, but I got lucky. Maybe it will taste like that weed too.
I posted pics of a sequence showing a few baby aphids, one in particular , so you can see what it looks like at a distance. ( start at the bottom)They look alot like dust and look different than other aphid babies and seem like they could be easily overlooked. This one looks stuck in a trichome forestšŸ˜†
Thereā€™s just a few here and there but I keep up hand picking them off. They are tough to entirely eliminate. All it takes is one survivor. They donā€™t seem to like the Tirah very much, thankfully.

Thatā€™s a great looking plant!!
I hope the aphid population stays low until you finish up :grimacing::crossed_fingers:

I bought some pistachios yesterday just so I could ā€œknowā€ what thatā€™s like, I mean Iā€™ve eaten pistachio before but itā€™s been a really long time so I had to refresh my smell memory catalog  lol thatā€™s a wild smell to be coming from a cannabis plant! I bet that it smells Amazing!

Oh yeah, youā€™re right. I see. So they hatch out of that nymh stage and become what? The ones with wings? I bet thatā€™s it. There are also little tan/ yellow babies that are round in shape and are smaller than the nymphs. These seem to be born roundish and stay round. They are both aphids of course.
You know what they say. Know your enemy. Keep your friends close and your enemies closer.

For sure. Some plants have almost none. Others are bug free upper two thirds of the plant. When I can get under them and look thru the leaves towards the light they are real easy to spot. What I didnā€™t know til just last weekend is the lowest branches were acting as a nursery. I sprayed them but will keep the branches in case I reveg.

They become fat nuisers :see_no_evil:

if you see anyone with wings, theyā€™re thrips, aphids are easier to manage ā€¦ beer3|nullxnull

Hey @Barefrog, do you have any impressions of your buds that you just harvested? Any interesting smells/aromas? Thanks brother! peace

No thrips thankfully. Some aphids grow wings so they can fly to other plants. Iā€™m sure.
Thank you for helping me solve the nymph mystery. No wonder they wouldnā€™t seem to die when I squished them. lol I was thinking how tough they were!

Iā€™ve been fanatical about killing them. I keep up. I Spent 6 hours looking the plants over just this week. Really only one plant i couldnā€™t easily get to that they had become a problem on. One week is all it takes for their population to rebound. Spring is almost here. If I still have an issue Iā€™ll let the plants get frosted
Can I use soap during flowering? I have castile soapā€¦

Hola Gang

First the Tirah is awesome
Bud wise and stone wise.

As for aphids First if possible
bring your plant in the bathtub
put the pot in a plastic bag and
tie up the bag around the tronc

That way no water in your ground.

I would get an adjustable garden wand
it has many type of jet on it.

Now clean That plant start with a soft jet
but donā€™t be shy to use a stronger jet if necessary.

Yes your plant will look like your wife
before the hair dresser No worry it will
pass.
If infested do it once a week,
if you brake branches Cool now
you have clone material.

Have fun

Iā€™m not sure if it has any negative effects on your trichomes, but Iā€™ve had to do it before. Still smoked fine as far as I could tell

Yeah soap canā€™t dissolve the trichomes, but Iā€™ve seen soap contaminated tests around 2012-2013 where the trichomes did have trace amount of soap. So my thinking is that trichomes can absorb soap  I might be wrong, this is just speculations from my part with a small data set.

Found this, thereā€™s some logic on it ā€¦ icon_e_confused|nullxnull

from my research and in other hand my experience , I tell you how insecticidal soap work , the outer layer of soft insects is covered with a waxy layer to protect them this allows them to save water and survive , insecticidal soap destroy their skin and kill them , same waxy layer cover trichome heads , itā€™s wax fat , soap dissolve it , at this time it just shaken and loosen up the cuticle of trichome , when you next time foliar feed or just spray plant with something all trichomes wash out and just stalks remain , simply you loose heads , same thing happen to cuticle layer on plant leaves , you may notice when you spray plant with insecticidal soap leaves are cleaner , itā€™s because the outer layer containing waxy layer and dirt is washed out , thatā€™s why if you over do insecticidal soap you can burn leaves , because they will more sensitive to light ,

Thatā€™s literally one of the best ways to treat those bugs. You can use a hose outside and if you do it enough they seem to move on. But, it works. Itā€™ a lot of work but water knocks them right off. Then you have to clean the room if your plants make it to harvest but water can get you there.

Hola @GMan

I do it in the shower indoor
Outdoor I found milkweed
is really neat I plant a patch
in the middle of the land and
the canna on the perimeter of
the land.
It will bring all kind of insect in your yard
yes your plant will have some bug But
in the end it all balance out Their is
always more predator then bad bugs.

Just rinse your OD a day or 2 ahead of cropping
