Yeah you’re right it did suck. If you go over to RIU and read the long Exotic Genetix thread over there… the long perpetual one… I’m one of the guys that really kicked that thread off… and advocated for him and his gear a long time ago… so when this all happened, people were saying they were surprised it happened to me of all people… since my posts and information led them to Exotic Genetix in the first place… they said I was responsible for their interest in him… so it boggled their mind why he would have treated me the way he did. I couldn’t understand it either.
My West Coast buddy said that’s what happens to some of these guys when they get big and win a cup. It goes to their heads and they treat the little guy like shit. All I know for sure is those are the facts up there. And @Foreigner is 100% correct. I paid for what I ordered. My responsibility should have ended right there. Unfortunately I really had to go through a shitstorm to get those seeds.
Yezzir. Seen it soooo many times! Little money, little fame and you become invisible, thankfully I’ve also seen the opposite many times but surely your scenario happens more often and it makes no sense, YOU HAVE TO GIVE FULL RESPECT TO THOSE WHO PAVED THE WAY AND HELPED YOU GET THERE…. Without them you’d be nothing as it’s rare enough for someone to pop off like that. It’s crazy .
He has them. But he butted into the conversation I was having with them when they started off saying they were going to do the right thing and replace the order. He wouldn’t have that! One of the things he said to me after he said he didn’t want my business and was sending me back my money was… If some free seeds show up on me, good for you… or something along those lines. That’s about when he left the chat.

Nah it’s all good bro, I’m fine with it. I feel you and highly doubt you’d make this up, especially after mine and a few other’s experiences I’ve heard of. In the end people can make their own decisions I’m sure they have some stellar genetics but there’s too many amazing guys out there. Speaking of, I saw you mentioned Red Eye, he’s one of my favourites by far, highly underrated. I can NEVER get his beans in Canada though. He imo deserves more recognition

It’s funny @SHSC-1 i was just thinking maybe he had something to do with it…. Ironically the last package I sent to him, showed up completely empty, pricks stole the contents and sealed it back up hundreds and hundreds of beans gone. Ugh!

Yeah… when Exotic (Mike) came over to our forum, Red Eyed Genetics came along with him. They were supposedly close friends back then. I wish I could remember the guys name from Red Eyed Genetics… I actually chatted with him too back then. Real down to earth guy, just like Mike at the time.
That whole forum eventually/seedbank “The Seed Depot” went to shit. It was super popular and thriving at one point. The forum/seedbank owner disappeared after a bitcoin crash and fleeced everyone, breeders and members. He was some guy named JB from Spain. No one really knew what happened.
No way, another one huh? It’s crazy how many seedbank owners have ended up burning people then closing up shop. Damn! I feel like I’ve heard that story WAY too many times. Between that and the guys posing as breeders on IG and discord etc. telling people they’ll sell them rare packs and then just ghosting them after they get the cash PayPal F & F this shit is exactly what’s wrong with society nowadays imo
Integrity is everything in this game. I don’t care how awesome your genetics are if you’re an unreliable piece of shit or even just kind of an asshole. Hard pass.
Fortunately now there are so many USA seedbanks. When the classification of seeds were put into the Hemp category it really made a lot of folks happy. The feds say… any seed with a concentration of THC less than 0.3 percent on a dry weight basis meets the definition of ‘Hemp’ and is not controlled… that significantly changed things as seeds are now legal. It was scary back then to think the feds could kick your door down for selling seeds… as most of us used to have to mail envelopes stuffed with cash overseas to buy seeds.
True but for me these days it’s more often trades and freebies so there’s no money involved which takes a lot of the sting out. And we’ve got some pretty good domestic breeders if you choose to go that route.
