I finished all my work in about an hour it was so dead. Not even the Church goers are coming it today like they normally do. I hate it when it’s this slow.

Good morning everyone. A beautiful day outside here . All the sounds of neighbors doing yard work :joy:. Outa :heart::heart:

Maybe you can help, I’ve ran into a problem watering the seedlings where the water just flows out of the solo. I thought coco coir was supposed to be super absorbent but the coco is almost completely dry after watering. Never had to deal with that before and I’m not sure what to do.

Those early yard work guys piss me off.

Omg! These guys aren’t the worst it’s 9:30 here. I’ve had a couple start at like 7 in the morning. I always fantasize about late night yard work since it fit my schedule. Chainsaw at 10 pm:joy::crazy_face:

With coco you need much more frequent waterings, the coco will become hydrophobic quickly, even pre watering/soaking will help when it gets this way, you need to do much more frequent fertigations

Sounds like it’s hydrophobic. I use yucca to help. I’m in peat and Perlite. I need to be careful of that myself. No hard dry cycles for me.
I put my solos in my tuna canning jars for stability. Works great for bottom watering too.

I had already figured I would water twice a day. So I need to keep it moist at all times? Won’t they not like the wet feet?

I’m going to do this. I have enough 1/2 pint jars for several lifetimes.

I usually water twice a day myself, sometimes just once though, if you wet it a bit, then wait a bit it will definitely help, bottom watering will help as well
