Back to the real world. Opiates. Iā€™ve lived in the same town of about 10k for 40 years. No secrets here. Used to be primarily commercial fishing. Work hard, ā€œplayā€ really hard. Lot of smuggling. A couple pharmacies. I see people I helped who are good, and some not so good. Most make no sense. People I helped, and those who helped me.
Iā€™m on them again now, should be on a lot more. Not happy at all about it either. Butā€¦my MDs also know I canā€™t wait to be post surgery pain. Iā€™ll taper then, see where Iā€™m at. After my last go round with acute pain, ā€œnot my daily chronic painā€, I anticipate needing vary little. I see pain differently. I think with the strength weed I currently grow, Iā€™ll be tolerable.
Not everyone has the support I do. My wifeā€™s had the pills most of the time for years. Sheā€™ll leave what I ask for. Sheā€™ll be the one to say ā€œthatā€™s not enough right nowā€. Sheā€™s not exactly had an easy time of it, nor has anyone who cared at all. Tough to watch. We should all be so fortunate to have someone have our back like she has.

That could be funny, but it Depends on who it happen to.

Iā€™m not looking for it but SNL did an ā€œoops I crapped my pantsā€ skit, while in poor taste was funny.

Itā€™s always funnier when itā€™s not you that it happened to!
The opiates are a double edge sword. I know a lot of sober friends who would refuse to take them. They do help thoughts. You heal better if your not crunched up in pain. My experience is I take them in anticipation of pain at some point, not because I am in actual pain.
@crownpoodle isnā€™t all poop jokes in poor taste? Funny though :joy:

SNL was funny at first. They lost a lot of their mojo after the 80ā€™s though. Still funny at times but not anything that made your ribs hurt from laughing so hard.

They stopped doing as many drugs :joy::joy:

Thereā€™s a big difference between needing them and abusing them brother (as I know you know all too well) I started eating them after being prescribed and legit needing them, then a few years later the docs said oh sorry we gotta stop prescribing these :man_facepalming:t2:. And the next few years were a nightmare. I know you arenā€™t abusing them and I also understand how hard it is to take them after being in our position. Hell I have to be in full blown anxiety attack just to take my PRESCRIBED lorazapem. Those things ruined aby narcotics for me, plus Iā€™m the guy thatā€™s always prying with friends/family and trying to prevent anyone from heading down that path. Itā€™s absolutely mind boggling to count the amount of people I know or was/am friends with who are on them now, on methadone Or Suboxone or have at least abused them at some point, my kid sister has been on methadone ten years now and sheā€™s only 35 ffs! And has a pigs heart valve because she destroyed her heart pumping her body full of meth and oxys. No joke, I found a great friend and associate of 12 years dead on his kitchen floor when he passed out, smoked his head on the way down and died, layed there for 3 days too , my very good friend Bill has now lost two brothers, a mother in law, his ex girlfriend and almost his dad, all too oxys. Itā€™s a damn epidemic and has completely altered peoples perception of pharmaceuticals no question

I was just talking about this with my wife, I watched my first SNL in ten years or more on Saturday. My god it sucked! Like terribly. I said ā€œwhat happened to snlā€ we both said after the 90ā€™s it was done. So many epic comedians came from SNL, now itā€™s just dumb stuff, 100%
