i dont remember the word they used but i remember they had one for white men
thing is with dialects they change quickly even in nearby locations for outsiders its hard to distinguish but for them they know right away where your from judt by your ussge of words

The village I worked in was on the dividing line of the Inupiak and Yupik people, they sort of get along, but they are culturally different.
I read Gussuk is a corruption of Cossak.
The Russians once ruled this land.
My wife is even Russian Othodox.

I have an Inupiaq dictionary on my phone.
Clam is ivi luk or uvilu in Inupiaq.
Maybe you see the similarity?
