Tracker's garden

101 days since first seeds wet

The Dream Blush and BDSLH are starting to fade. Plucked off several leaves that were yellowing significantly, and the color on both plants is changing overall.

Male BDSLH opened flowers on September 4th, so first pollination started 36 days ago. I’ll take them as long as I can for the most mature seeds possible.

Dream6 is far behind the others. It’s throwing lots of pistils. Has at least 3 weeks or more to fully ripe. Not sure the nice weather will hold out that long.

Tis the season Tracker. Just chopped mine down. I’ve gained a new respected for folks that grow outdoors as the trim n wash process just did me in.
Hope you have some help getting thoes beauties trimmed up.
Shit, I only had 2 outside and I’m already dreading next year lol. Going to be searching fb for a used small trimmer or something, maybe a diy. I’ve got a year to think of something.

It is a lot of trimming. This year’s plants are significantly smaller than the last few outdoor gardens. My trim job is pretty rough.

For fully seeded plants, They are very healthy. So close brotha!
Hope the weather holds out for you to finish em up more. Some seeds on a couple plants look like pea size.

Hope you having a great week brotha! :coffee: :vulcan_salute: :sunglasses: :

I’ve been tempted to pluck a couple off to see how mature they are, but I figure I’ll just wait.

Haha when I made my seeds I was a bit impatient :man_facepalming: but really quite a few were immature but they all seem to have a good pop ratio :sunglasses:

At this point, pollination began 37 or 38 days ago, and I kept the male around for 14 days, so there are many seeds that have only been going for less than 30 days. If I see dark seeds peeking out of their husks, I might pick a few off. Otherwise, I’ll wait til after harvest.

@InTheWoods It was windy this morning and the Dream Drifter was pushing over sideways. It was already reinforced with a pole, but it’s put on quite a bit of weight. I used two smaller poles to make the support into a tripod. While doing that, the DD rubbed all over me. It has become very fragrant with an earthy, smoky, diesel aroma, and sticky icky!

The smokiness scent is interesting. I haven’t found that scent in any buds before. Is it more of a campfire smokiness or like a BBQ smokey savory-ness?

I kind wish you got a blue cheesy funky lady. If don’t find that again out of the fifteen new ladies. Maybe it’s not as common as I thought.

Also, I’m glad to hear you were able to get her stabilized after taking a beating from the wind without snapping branches outside in the elements. Nice to hear DD’s branching is malleable and not too rigid.

Do you find the seeds on the DD to be very large? pea size like.

I noticed that a majority were when I originally pollenated the Dream 6 fem, you’ve probably noticed that too when I sent you them after making the cross.

Hope you had a great weekend and have a great week brotha! :sunglasses: :vulcan_salute:

Like diesel exhaust.

I haven’t plucked any off yet. They do seem to be medium/large size.

I already had all the plants supported with single garden poles, the green ones from HD. I have all of them except the BDSLH angled out to give them more space. The DD was on an 8ft pole. The wind and weight just made it lean more, not totally flopped over. Making the support into a tripod with two extra 6ft poles, now it seems super solid.

Keep an eye out for bud rot. Over here i got a LOT.

I’ve got a few blemishes where caterpillars damaged the plants, and there’s damage on one side branch of the DF where something was eating the seeds out of the buds. The structure on all the plants except for the DB is more open. I figure that helps with the mold/rot situation. Next weekend it looks like we have chance for precip. Depending on how that develops, I might take down the most mature plants by then. A couple of them definitely need more time though.

Could it be birds…??

Maybe birds or mice.

Very true on the trimming. I’m a very lazy trimmer when it comes to outside plants.

This DB I would say is very cheesey/ funky i believe. Totally different looking buds too.

I can’t believe how much the mice love eating the beans.

Looks very good. How many DB beans have you grown out? I wonder what other nice phenos are to be found.

In the pictures they look like it.

Man, Hope it’s not a total lose.

Hows your arm? Maybe a two seamer might help. :joy:

Very nice brotha! Chucky buds, looks like a breeze when it comes to trimming too. What week are they on?

I’m addicted to the semi sweet Blue dream/cheese funk. Are you going to F2s with those or just enjoying the f1s for now?
