@CosmoNut Thank you for sharing pics. Looks like a lot of nice tops.

What are the aromas like?

What do the stems look like on the mutant? Is the cross section of the stem circular?

They aren’t the prettiest Ladies at the dance but I have no doubt they are going to make me happy at the end of the night.

Gimme a day I’m going to have to burn one with the ladies and get handsy.

I believe that it’s a polypoid flower.
Pretty cool. :slightly_smiling_face:

Sure is. What’s really strange is i have two. 1 on a genie juice and 1 on double Heather fems from jaws.

Makes me wonder if it’s environmental? I mean what’s the odds on 2 sets of genetics in a single grow?

They’re called a “fascination” don’t know what causes them just watch them like the fat nug they will be.

Any thoughts or what’s causing it in two different strains on the same grow?

Seems like more then a coincidence.

Found this on fascination. Genetic mutation or damage to the growth tip is where they’re pointing.

Yeah I was reading about these flat stems, I bet that’s why tracker was asking for stem shots.

I will take some stem shots of both plants showing the mutation.

So it looks like it’s genetic, I am damaging it or a infectious disease. Smart money is that I damaged it, lol

So here a few snaps of the branch that has the fascination it is indeed noticable flatter at the top.

The above photo is more towards the base, then about half to 3/4 up it changes and goes flat

It’s the same on the double heather that also has a fascination. Normal stem that goes flat 3/4 the way up.

Genie juice 3 (fascination)the smell is a super light citrus with a hit of a skunks tale. Nothing really remarkable but it is a pleasant sent.

Number 4 much more citrus to the point of almost a orange. No skunk, very tropical kinda scent.

Number 1 no tropical or citrus. It’s like a touch of skunk with a earthy scent. The earthy scent reminds me of spent mushroom cakes.

Take the above with a grain of salt I do the best I can with scents

Are you getting the strange-shaped tops on the flattened stalks?

Exactly like that. And yes on the flattened stalk on both plants.

The Genie plant has very pungent lemon pine aroma -

[Motherlode Kush #4 x(Z3 Zkittlez x(Wedding Cake x Blue Mac))]

The male pollen was shared by @Maddawg -

Ethos’ [OG Dlux x (Temple Kush F3)]

I imagine there will be some interesting finds hidden in the Genie Juice beans

It’s been almost a month since I started these four and they’re growing pretty slow. Mostly a nutrient problem. Switched over from maxibloom to masterblend 4-18-38 and there’s improvement but not to my expectation. Shoot growth is still slow. I’ve ordered the gh flora trio and calmag and am looking forward to that.
I plan on cloning the top 2 plants based on vigor and the upper left has nice long petioles and structure. Strong smell emanating from it as well. The one below that is a little small. Looking forward to flowering these out. :slightly_smiling_face::v:t3:

During veg growth I use higher N nutrients. MaxiGro is my base nute in veg. Once flowering starts, I blend MaxiBloom into the mix, but I don’t go 100% MaxiBloom until the final 2 or 3 weeks of flower.

I’m sure that is the Citrus Flower seed you are talking about. Those are big seeds, like little coconuts.
