Even if itās blurry or instinctive, your ācommon sense peasantā is right. There is a price for this shortcut, and itās all the rage for the next decade imho ^^ Entering in the details will not help much with your quest, the TW being quite herm as a cut in bonus and outcrosses have to be wisely choosen to donāt have a shit show in progeny.
It donāt make S1s a bland genetic material, if the price in term of sexual stability is understood and dialed.
I use them most of the time to map what the herms have to say genetically, before entering in selection. Itās literally what iām planning now with a SD. Before outcrossing it and engaging a BX, I want to grow enough of her S1. Itās an herm too.
At this point of the conversation itās what i remind as goals :
- trainwreck based chemotype
- banana aromas hunted
- mold resistant (WTF about the ST#3 lol, she can flower in oceanic coast at 40Ā°+N)
Iāve grown and crossed the TW a bunch, this banana thing is not something i associate with this cut letās be clear ^^
My opinion :
- source the TW (take time as always, but not specially hard to hunt) for the backbone
- source seeds ābananaā for the spice, if possible skunky (good for mold)
- have fun with your F1s and eventually the sequential BX on one of the both, depend if want more ābananaā or more TW ^^

Iām already a seed junkie Funkyfunk. Lol. If it wasnāt for a wedding in my near future Iād be collecting like crazy. I need to figure out how to register at a grow shop.

I will add the TW x ST3 to my project list. My latitude is 43Ā°. Iām glad to hear itās resistance is greater than I had been led to believe.

I grow my own cross of a Trainwreck mother, and a Ghost Rider OG. My nym is its name. Lost my Trainwreck clone a few years ago , but this weed is close in buzz.
