TrevorLahey's Trailer Park 2022

My neuro surgeon told me no manipulation of the neck, I thought about one of those neck braces for sleeping in, when I am in my lazy boy chair I use one of those airplane horse shoe shaped cushions.

I do 20/4 every day, and was doing 6 days in the first week of every month. I stopped the long fast now, as my BP drops drastically after 4 days, and I only have 2 more inches to lose of my waistime, for my target size. I would try and bulk up the other 3 weeks of the month so I have some more to lose just so I can get into a good state of apothagy and growth hormone levels lol.

If you can afford to lose the weight, move up to a 4 day fast to boost your recovery speed :+1:

Funny, I broke my fast 2 days in a row now with edibles because I’m finding they help at least alter my mood and get my mind off the pain… but why the fuck they gotta put my THC in a bar or gummy with like a bazillion calories? Lol

The fasting stuff works, I was skeptical but I’m seeing quantifiable results. I’m currently on a 1500 calories deficit (eating less than a thousand each day) so one would think I’d lose about a half a pound a day, but with fasting I’ve been much closer to a pound per day it’s crazy!

Just wish I could get back to working out again :frowning:

Yeah I wish I could as well, every time I start feeling half decent, I get out some big rubber bands and try and do some shoulder and arm work as they are wasting away, the next 3
or 4 days I am in agony and can’t move

I stopped the edibles they give me the munchies bad, something I don’t need when fasting, but my neck is probably under control better than yours as I have had 7 years of learning to deal with it lol. Wheat and corn are gut and arterial lining destroyers, especially now with all the crap that gets sprayed on it,

I also removed all refined carbs from my diet, as well as breads pasta, rice and potatoes, although if you eat cold rice and potatoes after cooking, they are a powerful prebiotic that boost gut bacteria and mitochondria and reduce blood glucose as well, instead of spiking it when eaten hot.

Heat breaks down the sugar chains and makes it easier for gut bacteria to break down when they go cold those sugar chains reform into longer than the original sugar chains and are harder for gut bacteria to break down, so they multiply dramatically and boost gut health.

You need to be careful with the calorie restrictions, it can cause your baseline metabolic rate to slow right down and when you do start increasing calories it goes straight back into storage. Although the cost of food these days that might not be so bad lol.

I was doing a 23/1 hours fast a day, but trying to get all the calories into an hour of eating hurts my stomach. You can raise the calories quite significantly, and make it very benificial to the body with extra virgin olive oil, or any food high in omega 3 fatty acids.

I also do 2 table spoons a day of MCT oil as it acts the same as key tones which your body releases when fasting more than 8 hours. Sorry if you know all this stuff already, I know you do a lot of research on things, but it might help other people reading this that want to make changes to their diets.

Internal medicine studies are now showing that key tones are actually a signal response to fasting, for the mitochondria in the body to start un coupling, as the body thinks it’s dying.

The mitochondria are a bacteria we have a symbiotic relationship with, we cant live without each other literally, and they are responsible for many body functions including making brown fat.

Brown fat is created when your mitochondria un couple and they will burn calories just for the fun of it, no exercise needed. There are other foods that cause un coupling, as well as spices, cocao or very dark 85% chocolate , fresh ground coffee, sheep and goats dairy, any fruit or vegetable that is high in coloured polyphenol’s as well as different terpenes.

I have been hitting the sheep and goats cheese hard, as well as the evoo and MCT oil, and obviously vegetables, being vegetarian, in curries full of different spices lol.

You know it’s working as your body temperature rises after digestion, it’s not just the spices that make me sweat now lol, coffee will do it about 10 minutes after drinking.

I am increasing my calories steadily now and still either losing or maintaining weight.

The more mitochondria you have in your body the healthier it will be.

It’s amazing the amount of knowledge we’ve gained about nutrition, and even more amazing how many people know nothing about it. I myself was one of them until recently. A lot of what you mentioned I’ve been learning about.

I know I wasn’t that small the last time you saw me, but I gained 50lbs more than that since covid lol. So after losing 35lbs of it I’m still wanting to keep going to my end goal of 80lbs lost.

Before my accident I was walking, then jogging 5km every morning. Today I did some light stretching and walked some laps around my yard lol. It’s just been a huge change and emotionally it’s tearing me apart not being able to do the things I want to do, now that I finally want to do them.

Such is life.

It gets easier so long as you don’t suppress your BMR, I fucked mine up losing 60lbs in 3 months experimenting with the amounts of days I could fast at a time.

The first six weeks was lengthening the time between breakfast until I hit 23/1. Then the next week it was 48 hours and back to 23/1 for the rest of the week. The next week it was 72 hours and back to 23/1 and I did this every week until I hit a week of 6 days fasting.

My energy and BP was so low, even after coming off my BP med’s before I started the long fasting, I was feeling faint all the time.

At that point I kept it to the first 6 days of each month and 23/1 until mid December and succumbed to the Christmas junk food and booze lol. Gained 11 pounds in 3 weeks, I blame the beer and cashew nuts lol. Then started back at it until March then stopped the long fasts for a while to get my BMR back up. I have lost 103lbs up to now in just over a year.

It’s like grieving for some one close who has died. I went through stages, non acceptance of the situation, still considered myself indestructible lol.

Then into depression , from the anxiety of no
money coming in mainly.

Then came the anger at the frustration of not being able to do things I loved doing, or doing them badly, which usually resulted in losing my temper badly, and smashing whatever it was I was trying to work on. Scared the wife a couple of times. She had never really seen me in a blind rage before then.

Now I am in acceptance, I don’t like it and I am trying to heal it with all this nutritional and internal medicine information, rather than take the pharmacuitacles or the operation.

I know with what I am seeing and experiencing its possible, just going to take some time, but I am learning to deal with it and be more patient with myself, I cant afford to keep replacing things lol, and accept that if I can’t do it myself, I have to ask for help, which I hate lol. I just have to learn to work smarter and more efficiently within my capabilities.

Sounds like you and I are walking a similar path. I’m so glad to hear you’ve found a way to live with and manage the pain. I wish I had just an ounce of that right now, as I’m only 36 days into this and I’m already wanting to give up. I may have to lean on you for support while I go through this journey. It sometimes feels like no one understands what I’m going through, and it just leads to more feelings of hopelessness and depression.

Any time you want to vent or lean on me, just give me a shout Trev, I will help all I can.

I wish I had started the fasting back when I had my accident, I reckon I would be back to pre accident or even better by now.

The fasting also gave me the feeling I had some control back over my life and a bit of hope, and I could actually do something positive for myself, when all the docs were saying there is nothing, it’s just going to get gradually worse.

What they meant was there is nothing they can offer, except slicing me open to try and stabilize it, or pharmaceuticals to deal with the symptoms.

The body will fix itself given the right nutrition, environment and positive attitude, it’s an amazing and self intelligent thing, I am now in awe at the things a body can do, the more I learn about internal medicine.

If you are only 36 days into the injury, then the spinal cord is still very bruised and inflamed, that’s going to take a while for the inflamtion to settle down, think of your spinal cord as a punch bag, and every time you move your head your c spine is giving it a little left jab.

The hard part as you are discovering is doing nothing and just resting, but because everything else is working OK you feel guilty about doing nothing. If you broke both your ankles and wrists you would accept you are incapable of doing anything and rest.

I chopped this funky looking (Red Poison x Cookie Devil) x Dark Spark yesterday at day 76. The buds are really airy but quite frosty and some strong fruity smells. There must be 5-6oz on her at least.

Which finally gives these two younger plants some room. Left is Wedding Cake x GG4 and right is Wedding Cake and they are 39 days from sprout. They’ve ran dry a few times and did some minor damage but it looks like they are back on track now. I will do some training and defoliating in the next few days of both these plants.

As for the remaining flowering plants, they are 77 days old and still need another 2 weeks or more before they will finish. These are some excruciatingly long running autos haha.

The Wedding Cake x GG#4 (let’s call it Wedding Glue) is a massive plant. Probably 24 or more colas on her. I defoliated her about as much as I could, but the remaining leaves are nestled into bud sites and I shouldnt risk it by pulling em. Still worried about airflow and such though so I have a fan blasting her constantly and the dehumidifier running 24/7.

Pretty much same situation with the Ghost Rose. Looks like I missed some pollen sacs early on and a few bud sites are seeded out but no worries. She is the stinkiest out of all my plants.

And then this Wedding Cake in the little 2x2 has come out of nowhere and is stacking out with some of the frostiest buds I’ve ever grown!

Really looking forward to harvest. Still having issues with my neck but finally seeing some improvements through physio and exercises. My pinch let go about a week ago so I’m at least able to get out of the house now. But having trouble lifting even moderate weight without feeling strain at my injury site so it’s preventing me from not only doing some grow stuff, but also making money in my garage and working on my house and yard. Not to mention trimming that plant yesterday has me hella sore today. Can’t wait to be somewhat back to normal so I can enjoy my grow, and life as a whole, again.

Ciao for now!

So got everything harvested a couple weeks ago just getting everything jarred and weighed now.

Tent 1

The Ghost Rose yielded 290g

Wedding Glue yielded 315g

605g from a 2x4 in less than 100 days not bad.

Problem is the buds are super airy, more airy than usual. I can’t really figure out why because both of these strains don’t usually grow like this.

The wedding cake alone in the 2x2 yielded 94g. It was also really airy and small buds despite being a huge auto.

Must be something I’m doing with nutrition.

My new plants (Wedding Glue and Wedding Cake) also are growing huge but super airy buds and a lot of spotting and burning on the leaves.

Wish I knew wtf was going on so I could fix it for next round.

Speaking of next round, I’m looking to try some new autos and before I go out and buy something I wanted to put a feeler out and see if anyone here had anything interesting to make a trade with or something. Hit me up!

Great weights but that’s a puzzle about the buds…
You’re running Bridgelux strips for your lights aren’t you?

Cheers

One tent is 300w of bridgelux Gen 2 3500k and one tent is amars hydro sp250 but both tents have been producing some lackluster buds as of late.

I’m sure its probably nutrition + 30C Temps but I’ve tried quite a few things nutrition-wise over the last few rounds and while they all have their pros and cons but I’m still getting meh buds.

Meh lol.
