Triangle Kush and her crosses (What's your favorite flavor?)

Tk is a better breeder than smoker. She’s not winning any best OG contest categories in meyes other than bud structure but man I do enjoy growing her offspring.

I agree.
She is an incredible breeding tool.
I love what she does to some of the older lines like the Pearl Necklace TK x Silver Pearl were like early 90’s über weed.
TKxNL5xHaze just awesome!

I would like to cross it to my Athens Silver Haze cut.

I had Silver Pearl in the 90’s and it was great!
It’s been a while now so I’m not confident I would still feel the same now.

Pipsweed S1’s were a bit too much for me to get.

I try for 65% Calcium, Steve Solomon wrote 68% in his book ( I can’t remember which one) but it softens the soil and is very beneficial. I have great luck

Looking dank!
I’m not sure what Silver Chem is, but I bet if you rub your eyes with that on your fingers, you’ll go blind.

Silver chem= Chemdog91 x Silverback OG. And yeah, definitely some dangerously resinous stuff!

I have 3 different strains going that are 1/3 TK crosses.
I’m not sure how their going to turn out, but I bet they’re all good.
These are all on about week 6

TKXNL5XHAZE X NL1 F3 AKBB testers. Sorry Dave it took 4 years to grow these.

TKxNL5xHaze x A.C.C. RKS AKBB testers

About to take some cuts. Wait for them to root, then flipping to flower and pollinating with some swamp gas bx pollen.

Yep, I culled her floppy ass last year, same with chem D, chem sis, chem, SFV and a few others that I’d held for a while. I would have kept Chem and Chem D if not for their progeny I hold. I was testing Chem Chills, Donny Burger, and GMO at the same time and was finally like wtf am I doing holding 4 chem d strains. The purists “oooo, it’s chem D” or “oooooo, it’s TK” stuff only goes so far. Try maintaining 75 moms along with testing as a breeder and then tell me how great things like TK are.

The main og/chem types I still hold are Wellness OG and original diesel, they’re the less annoying and more resilient versions of what I like about all of these OG and chem types. IMO…

I share your sentiments.

I find that I’ll hold these cuts for a while (TK, Chems, OGs), then just get so sick of dealing with lanky/floppy and trash them all, then slowly acquire them back, then release. LOL. I’m currently in a holding phase and getting ready to release again. This time for good! Well, until next time at least.

My favorite smokes so far have been Chem91, Sour Diesel, and Deadhead OG (Chem91 x SFV F4) but still annoying to keep them around. I really enjoy crosses made with these popular cuts, often more so than the original, and that’s what I have to remind myself of constantly to help keep my mom count down.

uh… wtf happened to the seedfinder page on TK? It’s now describing an entirely different plant :eyes:

Last sentence is true but NOPE on the rest. She’s lanky, producing mostly weak stems and hybrid leaves with long spaced internodes… I would not classify her as “broad leaf” tho she can put out some fat front blades but nothing like a real deal broad leaf afghan.

Nope. Definitely not getting toasted cinnamon and hops from her. To quote HigherThought who I pretty much agree 100% with:

“She smells of lemon pledge, pinesol, pine tree, gasoline, jet fuel, acetone, nail polish remover, and rubber. It is unbelievably deep.”

Reminiscent of bubblegum!? I could see the hash finish at times but definitely not anywhere near Sour Diesel. To quote HigherThought again:

“The smoke is immediately lemony as well as fuel-like with notes of diesel and jet fuel. The first pull is heavy on pine and nail polish too. It has markedly different emphases than the smell, but there is a lot of crossover”

Nope! One more time:

"Triangle Kush hits hard and fast, but the full effect won’t manifest for 20-30 minutes. I can feel Triangle by the time I exhale my first hit, and the effect quickly builds. I feel it first in the forehead as a sensation of the frontal lobe floating, and it starts to settle into the cheeks and behind the eyes shortly afterward. This is the kind of weed that will give you forehead sweats. Take a day off, load up the bong, and take an over-confident hit—BOOM. You’ll be sweating, hot and flushed, and feeling like this is your first time smoking again. You can really layer the hits with this one—while you’re still coming up on the first hit, take another, and you can ride the high of Triangle Kush like a series of waves. This is incredibly strong, giggly, silly weed that put OG on the map. I love the high from his herb, and frequently want to share the experience with friends so that they can relate. When you hit the right dose, this is incredibly awesome weed that can facilitate experiences you simply cannot have in a sober state of mind—which is what we’re all really after. Overindulging can easily make one paranoid, and I recommend going slow with this one—regardless of how awesome it tastes. The effect eventually settles out of the forehead-sweating rush and into a more mellow, laid back effect that is great for nights in, movies, munchies, and really just all classic activities associated with cannabis. This is great for good times with friends and loved ones as well as good times alone. "

The other one… I’ve held over 100 “elites” at one time and explored 200 plus clone only. I get a chuckle when people talk about special nutrient needs of plants. I have yet to meet a plant outside the below that won’t grow well at every stage with a basic two part balanced regimen at X level.

The ONLY plants I’ve held that require anything special nutrient wise are chems, sours, and my old pnw blueberry cut. The blueberry is easy, I mix my nutes with lower ppm every few batches, I time it with watering the blueberry or will dilute with tap water, pretty easy stuff. The others are just a pita.
