Blueberry Gum clones in the Octopot tent, week 3 flower. Have some light stress, can’t go higher, few main colas tried to grow through the ceiling. The stretch is finally over they’ve got a lot of room to fill in, excited to see how these colas look late in flower. Defoliating is a regular chore. Overcrowded for sure.
Great grow you got going on!
yeah that upper space, is valuable real-estate, with the plant tops.
I was blessed, when I first started running LED’s, I could relocate my filter, first on top of my tent.
Then later one, as it worked so well, I relocated the vortex and CAN filter to another room, and running stove pipe, to the 3 separate tents, I had back then.
All the best!!

Update.
Blueberry gum clone tent week 4 flower. After asking around it appears I may have muffed up the nute schedule and have been giving too much N, seems like they were trying to reveg. Have some weird leaf structure, lime green spots in new growth at the tops. so far developing as typical growth but watching closely for hermies. Thrown all sorts of stressful things at them now. Figured might as well cut off the tops touching the lights and really push them to the edge (but not over!)
Mixed tent. Week 5 flower.
Cruising along. Was also pumping a lot of N into these girls. Less signs of stress. The mother BB gum is showing similar signs to the clones but not as extreme.
Week 6
Bb gum looked like it was revegging nothing else is, contributed it to too much nitrogen in the cal nit I should have stopped using aparently. Cut it off cold turkey now been dealing with what looks like nitrogen deficiency or cal/mag deficiency maybe. Working on sorting that last few days with a little bit of calnit and stepped up the epsom salt a scant.
Octo tent week 5. These clones are doing some weird shit. Started showing signs of revegging before the mother in the other tent. Again cut off the cal nit cold turkey. Theyre just doing weird shit. Watching, buds are growing and no signs of herm’ing so lettin em be. Very crisp bubblegum smell. Tents packed too tight. Getting it together- less plants more pruning.
Here’s the octo tent. The weird shit it was doing is starting to be less weird or at least less concerning. Been on banana/reveg watch for 2 weeks but still producing pure lady parts. Mom is foxtailing these clones are starting too all. Weak stems, but it’s too tight in there for them to fall anywhere. Strength in numbers! Gotta be careful opening the tent. Phone died so no overview shot. Can’t get a good picture with the light. Sticky as all hell in there and smells like bubblegum. Have friends growing this cut if it doesn’t act wonky for them I would grow it again soon and assume I did something wrong this time.
Chugging along. Struggles of indoor growing in a humid hot summer. Feel like everything’s stalling out when they should be packing on the weight. Trichs aren’t all ready yet so going to keep riding it out.
Gran Jefa is frosting up nice, no notable smell
Purple lemonade seems like it’s actually starting to turn purple, even in a 85 degree tent. No notable smell
BB Gum foxtailing like crazy. Nice bubblegum smell still.
Octo bb gum clones going crazy still, foxtailing. Burning out at the top though assume it’s the back and forth with too much nitrogen, to no nitrogen, to some, to none. all good at this point
This is the BB Gum mom below. Torn, I want to chop the whole tent to dry in there so I can keep the humidity in check, the other two are ready/past ready to go. The bbg & clones all seemed like it was reveging or something weird, slowed down, then started foxtailing like crazy. Trich’s look ready across the older stuff but it’s still shooting new foxtails and swelling up… my dilemma, do I wait and see how big they swell at the risk of “overcooking” the basically stagnant other two plants in this tent, I’ve seen no noticeable new growth or thickening up in 2 weeks? Or just chop (I’m leaning this way)… there’s still the octo pot tent with 3 bbgum clones stacking up nicely
And here’s my Octopot tent. I’ve been battling what I thought was reveging/mutating, and certainly a height issue. I clipped some branches that were in the light earlier on. I didn’t prune enough and I’m just not getting enough light in the lower spots, so I want to cut the tops off with the other tent harvest, and let the lowers run out. I’m not worried about stress or producing nanners this late in the game, but if I do cut off all the tops, am I going to stunt and halt the plants and waste that extra time recovering anyway? Am I better off to just leave it all to harvest together at a later date?
I decided to chop everything in the mixed tent since it’s scary humid to risk drying outside of the tent. I also cut the tops off in the octo clone tent because I want the lower stuff to get some extra light for a week or two & I’m curious if there will be a recover period or keep rolling or full on last straw activate banana city
Here’s a side by side of the bb gum mother (left) and BB gum clone. Mom was grown in sunshine #4 under a 200w VIVOSUN light (I’m not impressed) and clones were grown in Octopots (very impressed) under a Migro 250w array (very impressed). Mom flowered 10 weeks clone flowered 9. Mom had more veg time, same nute schedule - jacks 3-2-1 (also impressed w/ jacks product line)
Beautiful work man. I was going to ask if you rated the Migro light but you just did. I’m also in a 2x4 space and started with a 200w UFO type light then went to a Viparspectra 250 that is better suited to the oblong space, it seemed to make a big difference. I looked at the Migro, I think it’s the better light compared to the VS but I got a deal too good to miss. Did you notice an increase in yield over the Vivosun?
I’ve harvested the top of a plant before because it looked finished while the lowers were still a bit immature, I let it go for another two weeks and it seemed to pay off. Took a day or two to realise this is the new normal and then it ripened up nicely.
What’s up Igor.
Ya I think the Migro is the best bet for a 2x4. Haven’t cut down the entire Migro tent yet but for sure the buds are twice as thick and there’s two-3times as many. Some of that is also from the Octopot but no doubt a superior light. No “hot spot” either. Completely even light distribution. I had top colas on my topped/mink scrog as tall and thick from edge to edge of the tent. VIVOSUN light produced looser buds around the edge of the tent for sure. I need to figure out how I’m going to use the two tents now, if I continue to flower in the 5’ tent I’ll replace the VIVOSUN with a Migro for sure. Throws less heat too. VIVOSUN tent was 5 degrees F warmer through the entire grow. That 5’ height wouldn’t fly with the octopots tho.
Everything’s down. Drying and curing.
I can’t take good bud pics but here’s the BB Gum not getting the justice it deserves. Little airy but fox tailed like a mofo so whatever. Grow it to smoke it not look at it.
Have access to clones of this but I don’t think I’ll bother again. Running Gran Jefa again I think it’ll rock in the octopots under the Migro light
In the name of science, here’s some Octopot root pictures.
I didn’t feel like I had root rot issues this grow, but I did have issues, and I don’t know what root rot issues look like so you tell me.
Never smelt root rot (there was a stronger odor present ) during the grow. I cut everything off the main branches, went back 3-4 days later to clean out the tent and get ready for the next round. Once I pulled the octo sleeves out I definitely smelt a foul odor. I recall octopots webpage saying an air stone is not needed, but perhaps it is? What’re your thoughts?
