Rumor has it they stink.
Do they eat weed plants?
Ya once all bugs, larva and eggs are eaten they turn on the plants. Not the worst beetle to have if you have pests but in a pest free room they can do Some damage
What sort of damage did the stink bug cause?
Their cousins will eat leaves off of some house plants for sure.
Their cousins are savages. 
Two spotted are predators.
Would their cousins be the farty beetle and the dung beetle.
The reason I asked about the damage is the two spotted stink bug is usually not a leaf chewer. It has piercing/sucking mouth parts that it normally uses to hunt other insect critters.

Probably this one will not hurt your plants. He’s just hunting. 
Well damnit I wish I had tossed him In the room now knowing it’s not a bad bug hahah .
@buzzmobile I found it outside of my veg room on a skateboard 
here in NY we have the brown marmorated stink bugs and they can be a serious issue for sure especially in the winter in a grow room or tent or whatever they leave little brown spots all over the little bastards
That picture makes my butt look big.
Their favorite prey is skateboards. Check the trucks.
