Types of Mason Jar Lids acceptable?

if anyone has a moment, I have a question? are plastic mason jar lids acceptable for long term storage? I’m tired of buying rings and seals, and am considering changing over to something else. what? I am not sure, but I found these and they can be reused many times, apparently? give a thought on this, I searched the site, did not find anything, so I posted this.

As long as it seals tight & don’t let air in or out , I would think it should be fine .

I dunno man… something about volatile terpenes and plastic that just don’t mix for me. Glass is optimal I think but that’s just a personal opinion. I would think food safe plastic to be ok as well but less optimal than glass.

I like the big glass flip top ones from ikea with the big rubber gasket.

I couldn’t say about plastic mason jars.
