It’s easy to say that after he got trounced, but he hung with one of the greatest heavyweights of all time in his first pro boxing match. More people were saying Francis looked like a destined champ than were saying Fury looked like a washed up bum. He was a heavyweight champion himself who brutally knocked out everyone on his way to the top. He knocked out Stipe almost the exact same way as he got knocked out. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone get knocked out harder than Overeem. I think Francis knew the risks and was qualified to take them.
I don’t really care about the integrity of the sport. There’s never been a real belt on the line in any of these spectacles. People were punching each other in the face for spectators amusement long before it became organized. Real boxing will be fine.
I saw it differently , Tysons good but he carried that fight and when he wanted to turn it on he did. Francis was decent that night but it was an exhibition .Fury said before this last fight he would get KO d in the first round vs AJ and he was nearly right lol IDK , I m glad it s over. I ll be happy if Usyke gets to fight Fury … I got him winning tht won and then all hell breaks out with Fury fighting AJ and so on
Paul’s a decent amateur boxer at best.
Getting older doesn’t necessarily mean a diminisent in Chin/ability to take a punch.
So in that regard I’m willing to wager that Paul doesn’t hit anywhere near as close to what Tyson has experienced.
Can’t say without facts but if Tyson doesn’t win by KO or stoppage. Or just plain ol not win, then I think he’s gonna have to change his name to Aluminum Mike Louganis.
I don’t think Paul is planning on knocking him out.
If this fight is sanctioned as a pro fight, it’s an entirely different dynamic to that of Tysons last fight vs Jones, and he has a real, albeit unquestionably slim chance of winning by KO.
If this is an exhibition, it’s going to be a boring point fight.
The game plan stays the same for Paul either way, stay on his bike and make Tyson chase him. There’s no amount of steroids and amphetamines that will turn back the clock on Tysons joints. He can still crack, and he no doubt has forgot more about boxing than Paul will ever know, but that doesn’t translate into muscle memory. His trademark style didn’t last into his early thirties, the style he ended his career with had him losing to journeymen. Having a good head on his shoulders means something, but it doesn’t really make a difference in this situation.
I don’t think its a foregone conclusion that Paul will win, but his entire gimmick is cherrypicking fights against beloved legends of MMA and amateure level boxers with a name in the case of Tommy Fury. Fighting youtubers is too high risk, low reward at this point.
Tyson has been back working out for 5 solid years. Hes not going to be the same fighter he was, when he fought Jones. Hes been working out, atone of the best MMA Gyms, there is, and hes not playing.
Andto be fair. At the end of Tysons pro carreer, he was partying to much. staying out late ect, andnot doing what he should, and it showed in the ring.
I think hes learned a lot of lifes lessons, and has made a commitment, to get back into shape. And though, he may still smoke weed. I doubt he snorting 1000s of $$$ worth of coke, and staying drunk all the time. Like he used to. I bet hes not putting off training ect, because those trainers at that MMA Gym, aint fucking around, and wont put up with bullshit.
I really dont think Paul, is going to be able to take any of Tysons punches. I got Mike crumbling Paul, with body shots, if thats the ticket.

Yeah Tyson has to finish him quick. Not sure of his speed, but he still has the power and masterful technique. Same killer instinct as before? That’s what he needs, but he’s evolved now and is a great human. He’ll have to box well and be quick. He never needed more than a round or three. Three good rounds Tyson’s got in him. Paul will have to cover up and keep moving. Tyson should get on OG. He’s one of us. Paul is invited also, just as long as doesn’t talk so much.
