@HorseBadorites hayyy, Pops! Great tunes! I dig your little trim jail setup Nice, clean and simple! I am only a bit into week #1 with the SSDD… boy seeing another round of her finished… she looks like quite a washer! Thanks for sharing buddy!
☆Sonny
Beautiful harvest and great job on trimming them up, that’s a lot better than I typically do these days
Side note: I saw Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers headline a night at the first Outside Lands music festival in 2008 which had a large variety of different music styles. But of all my years of seeing live music, the sense of joy, happiness, ease, wellbeing or whatever it was that overcame the crowd as they came on stage was something I had never nor have I since experienced amongst a large group of people.
Haaaaay Sonny!
I know I’m weird, but I don’t mind trimming so much, maybe because I’m not so great at it, lol! Nah, some tunes and some snips put me in zone… weed is cool to look at!
From seeing what you’re doing with all the stuff you’ve got going, you’re going to smash it with the SSDD’s… literally!
Did you get a washer?. I’m too lazy for that, but I love Frenchy Canolli’s videos! You learn to speak with an accent, and I’ll get you a beret, lol!
Thanks for peekin’ in!
pops
Thanks @ElGalloBlanco
If that’s the case, you must hardly trim at all!
Neat story about Tom Petty. Never saw him, at least that I can remember I would have liked going to that show!

Haha, I make sure I at least get the fan leaves! The flowers do look a lot prettier when they are trimmed up though.
With all the SSDD you grow, am I remembering correctly you are going through seeds of F1’s and F2’s at the least? And those Aluna’s are looking great! Looking like some good plants for the outdoors. Excited to see them fatten up. Great job!
This one I’m stuck on, literally, is an F1. I’ve made, and have grown out F2’s&3’s, but they were poorly selected, and that’s putting it nicely! Stuck a extra female with a ready to be tossed male. No selection really.
But, some clones of her are in better hands than mine, so hooves crossed that her specialness might be isolated.
I still have a couple of packs and look for a male, but probably only a pipe dream, lol!
The Alunas are impressive. Very different phenos. One accepts anything, the other is being difficult.
#2 is the more agreeable.
She’s more branchy, in a higgeldy piggeldy way. A pic would help, if I’d taken one.
#1
She’s very orderly, with nicely spaced and fashionably upswept branching
But, Miss Prima Donna has to have a different feed than her sister, or probably anyone.
I hate those burned tips
Really liking the growth structure on both of those plants! That slight under canopy pic of #1 is looking She’s going to make you work for it a bit more but it’s looking like it will all pay off in the end.

@HorseBadorites looking absolutely amazing! Quite the jungle in there I love how your Alunas are turning out! Hope the knock out good medicine is the agreeable sister
I do not have a hash washer as of yet. I have my bag set out in Colorado… so i have been looking into getting another set and washing machine. I found someone offering one in used/new condition on the “Used Equipment” thread… just waiting to figure out shipping cost
Hope you and yours are doing well!

100% Agree with this statement and will go one step further to say, I feel like it’s part of an almost sacred process, (from baby all the way to ) that is a whole life cycle and I’d almost feel cheated if I missed out on it.
Just the opinion of a very Green Witch though so it can be taken or left for what it’s worth.
Blessed be , Grow Happy
Yeah, I’ve actually quit calling it “trim jail,” just because it’s such a negative connotation. We should start calling it “trim blessings” or something haha. I mean, when you think about the alternative (having no weed to trim), sitting around for hours and days at a time and trimming weed really IS a blessing.
I have a specific ‘Zen like plateau’ I can hit (usually an edible and a bowl… ) and I’m ready to trim… a little music (and preemptive CBD…) then ‘Good to Go’.
If you get into the right ‘head space’ it’s not a chore.
Cheers
G
Easy to say when you’re the one on top, especially coming from a guy named Whinnie, lol!
Saw where you’ve got a washer coming, nothing like some really clean hash
I’m so glad to hear I’m not the only deranged snipper!
I may feel different in a few weeks, when I’ve got 3x all done at the same time!
SSDD, turd pipe, SSDD, Aluna #1 in the big bloom area. At least I won’t have trim the turd pipe.
SSDD 6 days from flip.
She’s got a pretty nice shape, I’m going to try to not butcher her like I did her big sis…
at 33 DFF.
I’m not sure if it’s from something I did, or what, but she’s sporting a bunch of 3 bladed fans now.
I don’t remember that happening before, but my memory is funny like that.
Trimmed a few of the lower, spindly arms off of Aluna #1. 28 DFF. Starting to show some frosty bits
Aluna #2 is still the good child… she’ll eat anything with no moaning!
Here’s a little guy I found outside on the milkweed yesterday! Ribbit! Thanks for stoopin’ in
I love your bamboo structures!
They remind me of the amazing Hong Kong skyscraper scaffolding.
Cheers
G
Lookin great!!
The 3 bladed pic looks a bit like reveg to me but she’s flowering so good so I’m not sure.
Thanks @Gpaw… I only wish they were as strong, those things are amazing, lol!
I know! I did forget to close up a veg tent open a time or two, but I usually do that Hasn’t effected anything before, but I need to quit that!
Another week, and another death in the family
0/7 of the last cuttings! May have been embolisim related, about 1/2 way through plonking them in coco, I noticed hollow stems. The cuttings had also been in the fridge for a week.
They looked pretty raggedy when I potted them up.
But, all perked up the next day!
Then croaked one at a time. RIP. 'm in another “I hate cloning, and anyone who can do it” funk. I’ll give it another go this week, a real glutton for punishment
The one cut that rooted from the last brood was looking wonky. Gave her a good flush, and I think she’s coming around… I hope!
14 DFF.
The SSDD under the 315 & mover is shaping up nicely, though, and hasn’t fallen off the table, yet, lol!
Her big sister, 42 DFF. She never really filled out from my early butchering. She’s frosty, though, even her main stems are covered, but it’s gonna be be a pretty small yield.
Aluna #1, on the other hand, is looking very, very nice, at least to me.
She’s a red head! Looks like the Punto Rojo is coming through. At first I thought she’s been savaged by some stray pollen, of which there was none. An immaculate misconception, lol!
Group shot of all the roomates sharing the communal space
SSDD, SSDD, Aluna #1.
And, lastly but not leastly, Aluna #2. Same age as #1 37 DFF. A bit slower on the redishness, but still a pretty lassie.
Both Alunas have a different smell, and I can’t pin down or explain either yet. I’m lousy at that anyway, but both are appealing if that means anything
Hope y’all have had a nice Memorial Day weekend, and have given a thought to all those who have died doing what was asked of them, right or wrong.
Another photo dump of Bodhi’s goodness.
The open area is closing in a bit.
SSDD, SSDD, Aluna #1
Figured I’d truss up this SSDD F1 before she needed it, I know where’s the fun in that, lol!
This time I was way less heavy handed on cleaning her up. I am really liking how she’s spreading out.
21 Days from flip. and she’s frosting up pretty nicely.
Big sis SSDD is at 49 days. She’s filling in. I was worried she was going to be a skimpy one after my butchering, but she’s getting chunky. Probably going to try and club me the next time I touch her!
I’m impressed, because she’s under a single 315. The last few of her sisters I’ve grown out have been under that, plus a 240 QB, so this is a pleasant, and bountiful surprise.
She’s got a sweetish, spicey, fresh good weed smell. Maybe a little blueberry, but no yeasty thing like her forebearers, at least yet.
Aluna #1 has a nice structure, but a lot of open internodal space. There’s a bit of sour smell if I touch her, but nothing otherwise. Day 44 for her and #2.
Aluna #2 is catching up in the red head department. She’s got a little closer spacing between her budsites, too. She’s also taking the feeds well, still no torched tips, hooves crossed!
She’s sour with a funk that was first a little offputting, but I’m getting used to it. I’m probably nose blind, but I don’t smell anything unless I squeeze her, which is frequently.
In the clone news, I’m trying a different tack, I cleaned out the trays! Washed out all the cups and bottles, too!
No fridge time. 8x in coco mini-hempys, 5x in what used to be the lucky beaker, and 6x in a milk bottle upstairs in a sunroom window sill. It’s been 3 days since I cut them, and no fatalities.
I also didn’t scrape any of their stems, but instead did a little split at the last node. I’ll take any luck that’s offered!
Thanks for looking in, hope it’s not too boring
Never boring
Hope your new clone tek works out!
Hooooowee! Got me itchin’ to flip, dude! Seven more days…
Never, brother. Looking real good in there. I’m super-curious to hear what you think of those Alunas, so interested in those. I mean, I don’t have those seeds or anything, but I’m always curious to see how those old-school genetics turn out, if they seem legit etc etc. They look real good from here.
Never boring…
You run fem’d auto’s? No?..
Would you like to?
