Unpopular opinion thread

Yummy? Er…not so much, but we were very glad to have it. Kept us going until we could get it going on our own, which i think is a an excellent reason to help people in need. i think along with the peanut butter and cheese we give training for for people who have no employable skills so they can move out on their own. Some call this “socialism” i call it being responsible to the people.

Germ testing. I think it works.

I like them better than the real ones. Add them to a soup or an omelet and delish!

Good deal. It works well imo. :+1:t4:

Try the chunk-style–then mix with small cubes of cream cheese, chopped green onion, shredded mozzarella, a splash of Lemon, cracked pepper, and some garlic-- cover with foil and bake… :+1:

Too damp and stale imho :joy:

I guess it would be if you got the paper towel too wet. I’ve done it with great success. There has been a couple of times that I had seeds that did not pop right off but after ~3 days I’d just place them in a clean, damp, fresh towel. If the seeds are not open then it won’t harm them a bit to roll into another paper towel and back into a new Ziplock bag. I’ve never had the water go stale doing it like that.

For me it’s just too easy in the plugs my man.
I even did a plug vs paper towel germ.

Seems like a waste of money to germinate in plugs.

You determine the dampness of the paper towel, and stale makes no sense when most seeds pop in like 24 hrs. Hell, you could even dry out the paper towel in between uses and use it over and over - not that I would bother.

I do use plugs for clones though.

I can’t remember the last time I had a seed not germinate, so I don’t understand what a plug vs paper towel test would look like, unless you were showing money wasted in the long run.

Then throw it in the trash and make yourself a peanut butter sammidge .

You’re welcome! Haha.

You do you brother. Granted I’m not doing large scale pheno hunts, if I was popping on a mass scale for sure paper towel would be a cheaper option. I’m not running a business here So I can germ and clone in plugs, Simple, I drop em in, they grow their way out. I buy a large tray of plugs that will last me usually 3 months for around $25

I start hundreds of seeds every couple of weeks. 50 or so plugs to a 1020 tray or 15 solo cups to a tray. I remove many in the plugs that seem undesirable before they make into the next container so yes a few pennies (7 cents each that may get chucked right away) spent on a plug that allows 35 more sprouts per tray is a cost but light front property that create possible keepers is more valuable than a few bucks but hey penny wise and lbs foolish may work for some

Here’s an unpopular opinion out there… plenty of good genetics come from cheap ass white label seeds. I’ve found phenos much better than their name brand counterparts. Obviously it can be hit or miss but a place like North Atlantic has provided quite a few gems

Oh yeah, you were the guy saying bodhi freebies were shitty white label seeds from Spain and people should just buy direct from him…

I don’t plant that many seeds, so I guess I might be lbs foolish… I thought you might post up one of your grows one of these days after telling justanobody to post up his grow.

Yes they are. GLG gives terrible custo service (dragshow Jeff bugged via email like a trollmy buddy for his audacity fir sending a question to their email)and many packs did not germ so If they are not please explain. What would posting my grows prove or disprove my puck theory?

Side not all my pictures will not post due to being too large. If you can explain how to post I can show you pictures where I believe even you will like.

Keep on rocking in the free world and recycle them paper towels for sprouting my penny conscious friend🍻

Well, for one example, besides showing that I was wasting money lol. The seeds in the plugs compared to the towel germed faster and grew faster than the beans I cracked in the towel. ( of course this could be due to heaps of other variables) but on that occasion that’s what happened.

Unpopular opinion: I hate paper towels. Except for cleaning.
