You’re the one I wanted to talk to. Useful’s CD is the one you used in your Choco Kush or was it your f2s?
I still have 5 of those CK seeds and I may have some of Useful’s CD on the way. I’ll most likely preserve them or add to another grower’s preservation run. Whatever works best for the masses. I was thinking of crossing the CD back into the CK and maybe get a better female ratio? 
We’re gonna get it done San, one way or another.
Believe I ran a few of Useful’s CD in f2 form, one of my first trades here. Think I still have a few left and a cross.

Santasmoke = F1 in 2004 & 2006 (different males)
i made the F2 of the 1st release in 2016 for derg corra.
and from there the next gens and crosses appeared.

but despite the timing of useful’s releases:
he might very well have made f2’s from santasmokes f1 too.
the auctions were limited but not unaccessible.
i was shared the F1-pack i used by a friend over @ seedshare.
so there is many ways how CD’s could have been developing
since the original release.
i’d be game to donate some of my F2-lines for a combo to useful’s CD.
she is always great. the more selections meet = the better, in my book.
Man too soon. I haven’t even grown any of his work and it’s in a shopping cart waiting for me to get the money. Hopefully they’re still there or available when I can finally grab em. I’d love to honor the man by continuing, preserving, and spreading the beautiful cultivars he created.
Not that I know of. There’s folks in discord selling his packs for 150 now. Gonna make a quick buck off the dudes own legacy by selling his seeds at an up charge because he died too soon??
Made me cringe when I saw the price tag….I hope everyone else with his gear is a little more down to earth and realizes getting the genetics out of your vault and into the dirt is the only way to solidify Useful’s contribution to cannabis for future generations. In my opinion that is….
This is the Genius Thai Extreme x Chocolate Trip I got from @imstinky during a clone swap. He was kind enough to give me 2 cuts, a short pheno and a taller pheno. After I left meeting him I drove down to meet Useful and still had the cuts with me. I asked him if he’d like one of them since they were his genetics and he was glad to take one. This plant will be a keeper for a long time.

Man I’m so excited to get these going. Even more so now that I see how great they look in heavy bloom! Hope trimming goes easy for you, I’m slow as hell trimming and just can’t stand it.
Useful had some bags of oranges that looked amazing plus chocolates. Someone should save some for later.
I just dug out a pack of DLA5 x chocolate D! Looking forward to honoring the breeder who always answered all my questions learning to grow.
Put it in front of the action committee and got approved, I’m gonna do a coop preservation run of his flagship chocolate diesel f3 and taking it to f4 for the community! Look forward to em in the fall boxes ladies and gents

Thanks brother, I aways like to check with you when it comes to genetic history. A generous member here who would like to remain anonymous is sending some of his Useful stash. Some are still in packs. I’m excited to be able to make some repros. I sure hate that I never got to know him. He sounds like my kind of people.
Hey @santero, was the choco kush you made, from your f2? I have 5 seeds left of that I was sort of saving for just this type of time. If I get all males again, could I be able to use this CD to try and work it back into that CK strain with any hopes of it helping?
What area was he from? I’m assuming you’re in NC or VA? I grew up in Bama and I’ve lived in Va, Tenn, and NC. Back out in the Rockies now. I would sure have liked to meet him. peace
