whats the flowering period on this? im guessing 15 weeks +?
Good luck guys.I love me a sativa, but anything over 12 weeks flowering is getting into deep waters. Especially for high N using cultivars in flowering like Roberts Creek Congo. It needs N right into week 9 of flowering of 10-12 weeks. Other Sativa types are low nute users. Can be tricky to dial em in.
Respect to anyone running these. Preservation of quality cannabis right now is super important.
G/L to all on this.

Exotic Strains: Vietnam Dalat - Green & Purple

This strain denotes a great morphological difference between males and females. They are so thin and lanky the females, males looking like wide leaflets and generally more compact in size:
Females looking like males in form and structure.

Its a super vigorous green giant , the clones root in all conditions. Dalat is a plant with a
opened structure and long space between knots, Sativa from Southeastern Asia, needs big doses of direct
light to express itself.

Better to avoid the vegetative, the plants continue growing and forming new floral clusters until maturation.

In 2.6 gallons pots in outdoor, it arrives easily at 2,50mt. (9 feets)
Forming great flowers around the branches, with a precious central bud.

They react with laziness to the change at 12/12, to enter in flowering where they continue maturing and forming
new flowers, During 22/28 weeks.

Beautiful relation calyx / leaves.
Smelling like certain Asiatic sativas (Thai, Laos, Cambodia.)
citrus and fresh flowers, intense and delicate at the same time,
with more intensity than other Thai sisters.

Production isnt his best quality, because the calyx are very small in size
and the bud structure is airy: opened, little density.

Very vigorous and resistant to mold and plagues in general, they adore high amount of Nitrogen and more nuts in
general, has a high metabolism and for that reason they need Moderate and frequent irrigations.

The high is very strong but with a short time high: I will smoke more and more
until I forget what I do…

We had a bad germination in 32 old seeds,
In addition we have found some hermafrodites: Dalat has been a continuous discover male flowers during this selection,
Finally we have been able to reproduce and to maintain 3 plants (- 3%)
Sadly, some of the most interesting phenos were hermies.

Finally we got 1 male and 2 females Luckyly the 2 females represent certain phenological range, differents in structures
and look: Green opened the first female, columnar and purple the other.

These 2 females have been polinizated with a Vietnam Dalat vigorous male, Haze, and finally with the Afghani male (lime flavour).

I really liked talking with him. I told him our intention was to preserve these strains, and he was fully supportive. In fact, he said we could do preservation runs on any of his stock since it’s all pretty much discontinued. He said if we had any questions to just give him a call.

Unfortunately, I don’t think his health is improving. A couple of times he said he didn’t know how long he was gonna be around. He mentions his health in his newsletter a couple of times also.

He just seemed like a really authentic guy. He wasn’t ragging on any breeders, he just talked about his strains, and gave me some tips for the Dalat and VB. He talked about how he germinated those seeds. I’ll see if he’s got anything written down.

I really enjoyed talking with him. He seems like a good dude, and I hope things improve for him.

I have a small fortune invested in Snowhigh’s work. Most all are regional F1 hybrids though.

Always some special and unique creations.

I have not grown out too many yet because most tend towards long flowering sativa types.

I am happy to say my Royal Chocolate Thai in the latest run has confirmed as a female so I am looking forward to seeing what that one does in flower!!

@Heritagefarms, of course you’re in man. I went ahead and added a list to the first post.

As it stands right now, @neogitus is #15, but there are a couple more people who’ve expressed an interest which brings us to 17, so I’m gonna bump the cap to 20, but that’s it.

20 people will come to $45 each. I have a PayPal account, and when I get the seeds in hand I’ll let everyone know.

So @Jdem075 you’re in, as is @Who, (I can send you a PayPal invoice or a money request, or something like that, and it’ll have a Pay Now button and you can just use a card).

There is one thing. I might’ve found the seeds, and spotted the initial purchase price, but that doesn’t mean I should be the one making decisions, so please, feel free to chime in. :vulcan_salute:

I think even at 20 there should be enough to go around and that was the initial idea so why not. Thanks for getting the ball rolling

That’s cool you got chat with him. Is he done making seeds then? He’s sure got some exotic stuff. I haven’t checked in a long time now.

I remember he was supposed to be starting a collaboration with another top breeder but I can’t think of the details.

Good luck with the project. I can’t wait to see it. It sounds really unique. peace
