Currently enjoying the Man With No Name series of movies, aka the “Dollars Trilogy”. Revisiting these movies as an adult has allowed me to really appreciate the music behind the action.

Same. It’s not that I got bored though, it’s the splitting seasons in half bullshit. I have no patience for that to begin with but in a world with streaming services offering binge watching it seems really dumb to drag out seasons like that if you want people to stay tuned in. I’d rather miss it for a few years and come back to binge watch it and I really doubt I’m the only viewer they’ve lost for that very reason.

I had to stop because I was finding it very boring and frustrating to watch. I forget what seasons but I was told from friends that pushed through that the writing did get better and some talent hired really made it their own.
One day I’ll pick it up again; albeit it’s hard to watch disaster stuff like this now considering the reality we are in.
I no longer believe that people seeing something horrible will actually run away from it… during covid it all seems like the most realizing way to write a zombie film is to have people “disbelieve” the horde in front of them and run straight at it yelling “Fake news!” all while getting eaten.

I stopped watching Walking Dead when they started killing off characters for shock effect i think it was after the whole Beth in hospital side story (and i didn’t even like her) that’s when i realized they ran out of ideas and it was gonna be like that from now on

I’ve been on a Johnnie To kick recently. If you like John Woo or 80s/90s Hong Kong action in general, check this director out.
I would have to say my favorite so far has been The Mission. It balances really tense action scenes with great “slice of life” scenes surrounding a group of hitmen hired to protect a mob boss.

The PJ’s is a classic. God knows why it got cancelled after 3 seasons. Anything Eddie Murphy is involved with turns to gold EXCEPT his choice of women. She’s called “scarey spice” for a reason FFS
