I FUCKING LOVE THIS SHOW @SensiBowl !
@bunny they lost me after season 1.
So good right? I’m still holding out for a season 2 lmao
I am almost at the end of season two. I was watching a series, what the heck was it called? Right, Blindspot.
It got kind of repetitive, then they had a few new characters, or at least brought back some interesting ones. a couple of the main characters never developed further than being one dimensional. Kept watching to find out the big question. 100 shows and they did not answer it. I find The 100 at least the characters are believable (in a SF kind of way). A few technology things I have issues with but generally I can just roll with it. No idea where it will go for five more seasons. Hope it keeps my interest.
Surprised no one has mentioned Obi-Wan Kenobi dropped today on Disney +. Star Wars is my favorite galaxy far far away
I know Norm is a beloved comedian but I never got it.
I have time to pull out my hair while waiting for his slow delivery.
He wears a smile like that uncle that makes jokes and laughs at them.
Comedians must be fascinated when he does what ever he wants regardless of what an audience or venu would want . I get that appeal from that perspective.
Am I too close , I do come from the same city. I have been at dinner with norm looking and sounding people.
He actually has a few slick impressions.
I kinda feel like Norm entered comedian before living more of a normal life so his material is not grounded in experience . I do not know. I feel the same way about Monty Python, never got that either. lol one good line. " It’s Merley a flesh wound." That is good one. lol
@sedin It really wasnt up for debate… or analogy… if you like it, cool… if not, move on.
But… it took me a long while to realize and enjoy Norm… I just love when a comedian can actually be themselves.
Enjoy what YOU enjoy… I am not asking questions.
And I posted that 2 weeks ago…

Your opinion is your opinion. It exist free from mine, as mine does from yours. I was just curious as to what is the appeal of Norm to Norm fans because there are many.
As far as Norm being himself. I do not know. Norm has stated he felt he always had to work at jokes and was jealous of other comedians who he Norm felt like were successful just being them self’s for example a story he tells about Sinbad at the Montreal Comedy Festival. After a Norm Routine I do not feel like I learned much about him he seems to stay a mystery behind punch lines.
I just love and enjoy when a human can be themselves, even if I dont understand it. I honestly can’t even say I am a huge Norm fan… Again, I just love that he was Norm.
Does that make sense? And to be accurate my favorite Norm bits are when he is flowing straight off the cuff.
Love and Light!

Perhaps demanding a nuanced account of Norm’s attributes was too much, I have always wanted to quantify his appeal. Jealousy most likely as he avoided sht jobs in town. Had the balls to walk on a stage and often treat it like a job he was almost on the verge of quitting the whole time. At least to me. My perspective.
I implore you to watch the short documentary!
