I hate that you fuckers got me watching The Orville. I hate Star Trek, I hate Star Wars, I hate most space adventure sci fi stuff and yet I watched the latest episode of The Orville last night. I can’t even place exactly what it is that has me coming back, but I do like that they don’t feel the need to end things happy.
I feel like they cut out the jokes too much though. My favorite line is Malloy when he does a crazy maneuver and says “since I did that can I wear shorts on Fridays now?”.

To my understanding it will be the last season so they’re going all out and it shows.
The level of reference to ALL SCI FI is staggering while still being trek but not trek!

The first 2 seasons they smoked pot and got drunk and was much more funnier then this current season…

This season they’re not constricted to a format for delivery; so it means anything goes to actually tell their story. The things they’ve covered in this past season could have been delivered in 44minutes but would have seriously hurt the overall effective storytelling.

@Slick1 holy-carp was that most recent episode of Orville intense and 100% they needed the 1hr and 20+ minutes to do it justice.
Gotta love that Bortis gets to shine with both singing and then fighting the good fight in the same season; really lets the actor show us their range!

It still surprises me how serious a tone they can strike considering what I assumed the show would be/what it started as.

I thought 1883 was the BEST show other than Roadkill lol but I really thought it showed people that take it for granted just how much of a commitment it was to decide to pickup and make a trek to someplace you’ve only heard of an could just be folklore and I just wanted to know how bad they’d be after having a tornado rip over them and at least if they would’ve died it would of been a "wild ride"hehehe and I have been watching The BOYS and how it basically makes fun of superheroes and Homelander is the biggest pussy of the show but it’s a funny story line and I miss King of the Road The Doc

Watching Downsizing for the first time stoned and I can only think about how would you go about growing weed in a small world? Would you have to find the micro sized seeds or cope with having a full grown weed seed about the same size as a Norfolk pine? Cuz at 92.58 of my current size I’d be 5.71 inches tall

Watched it last night and it wasn’t bad. For some reason the invisibility seemed more cheesy in this one, probably the contrast between early weapons and the Predator’s tech. Definitely worth watching.
Can’t say much about another thing that bugged me without spoilers but overall it was fun.
