What are you watching? (TV & Movies)

lol I first saw it advertised on Net Flix I was so hesitant. kept passing on it, then I said fuck it and I thought It was a movie.I had no clue I was about to watch a bunch of them but it starts off so perfect, I was feeling the Johny character and then the contrast to the successful Danny character and it helped Danny at 60 looks like Danny as a teen. Season five is heavy on the saved by the bell teen crap, it is, It is not the same animal as it started but ya I keep watching. lol

It is crazy how similar Danny looks. It’s actually kind of disconcerting at times. Johnny was definitely the draw to the show with the whole old school mentality against the modern PC bs. It’s what got me watching.

That was the draw. They hit gold with that angle. The old-school attitude somehow is a fresh take now lol Danny is a bit of a bastard for aging that well lol but the trade-off is the man-child look, he never got to look 30 plus. Speaking of age, that bad girl Cobra Kia girl was 20 when the show started. so ya…

A Matt Dillon flick…I met Matt in the mid 80’s and partied with him while he was in Chicago…

The most disturbing part was how many gaps the house had. It offered zero protection from the elements.

I was thinking the same thing when I saw the house. I was like, " That sucks! What if it rains?"
I don’t know what it is that gets me, but for some reason I kinda dig von Trier films. Specially if I’m really ripped. I think the ‘artsy’ aspect fascinates me. His films dam sure make you think about it for a while after it’s over.

Something about the pacing/tone of HTJB irked me but I liked it overall. It’s funny because I forget that the average person probably hasn’t watched as much horror as I have and would be pretty affected by it.

This is very true. I know I have been numbed down to over the top violence and gore. I don’t even pay much attention to it for the most part. Unless it is really well done, then it’s like, “Did you just see that? Holy FNCK!”

The first half of Sinister was one that actually even got me. I’ve been recommended The Canal based on this.

Anyone else having issues with youtube videos on OG lately? I can’t play them and now when posting one it’s only posting the link.

I’ve been wanting to see “X”, and it’s prequel is coming out called “Pearl”
I think Ti west is a good director.

Guess it’s just me. Been a minute since I could watch any posted vids on OG for some reason. I can click them and watch on youtube but I get an error code if I try to watch them in threads.

Looks like this preview doesn’t work. :frowning:

It’s actually a pretty fascinating concept. The role of our internal biomes isn’t even remotely close to being fully explored.

What if “extra terrestrial” life is microscopic? What if there is whole world of intelligence that simply views us as transport, food and shelter?
