At first I was pretty surprised too that so many members have firearms hereā¦ In my region there is long tradition of game keepers, but personal handguns are very rare. Only 3% of people in my country has license to hold guns, most of them are collectors, sportsmen and gamekeepers.
So I find it little bit āunusualā. But I completely understand that different country means different tradition. And we all know from the news that U.S.A. is one of countries were possibility to obtain firearm is kind of human right. And we can endlessly debate if pros or cons outweigh (every nation in world has to solve this for themselves).
I wouldnāt write off some people just because they have pistols or love pistolsā¦ After all we are world-wide forum and tastes differ around the world.
I know personally few professionals and few people that are absolutely competent to wear a gun. It is absolutely legitimate and I value their opinion.
I try to judge people by their acts, not by the fact they have gun in their home.
I didnāt mean anything bad when i asked first about it, i know americans love their guns and allā¦ I was raised in Seattle, went hunting and to the range all the time so, anyway, i meant no harm with this thread. Some people were proud to show their piece, some others were notā¦
Edit. I apologize @oleskool830 and @LemonadeJoe!
No need to apologize! Itās good topic judged by number of photos and replies! I said Iām surprised not offended or worried .
i just find it crazy because i only see posts of guns but no hunting or anything like that. my favorite is āi need protectionā but it has to be locked up in a gun safe. i get @oleskool830 100% but im not about to leave. plus having a gun when something bad happens is good and bad. lets say this. i know some guys that had guns for protection. dudes got robbed. guns stolen, and then use against them. no one woulda died if they didnt have guns.
on the other hand if some people had guns at certain times then problems could be solved. why do you think the gov pulls all these stupid stunts tryna get them banned? if we have guns they have a harder time taking us over.
show your guns off and then people know what they are up against. keep them to yourself and they will be suprised tryna fuck with you.
guns are weird. you shoot someone and then for the rest of your life the blood, the sack of bones, the horror. everything is stuck in your mind. forever.
this is mostly speaking towards the people that just have guns to have guns. shooting ranges usualy have guns you can go shoot. my whole family always had a gun safe with multiple pistols and rifles. we used to always go hunting. for food. to eat.
I respect the hobby of firearms and target shooting, my father and grandfather and great-grandfathers all practiced competitive target shooting. Theyāve never shot anyone or menaced anyone with a gun!
We have a family heirloom, handed down from the first immigrant on my fatherās side, he came to Pennsylvania in 1830 from England. He was given a piece of land in Kansas for serving in the Civil War and bought an original Colt 45 revolver for security when transporting crops to market, bandits were a real problem. My father currently has the revolver in his possession and it will pass to me when heās gone. There are pictures of wagons and horses engraved into the steel on the sides.
Iām MUCH more upset about the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides than guns! But I have thick skin so I stick around OG! Actually all the forums are mostly chemie weed growers.
Unfortunately in CO if you get badged to work in the industry, evidently you lose the right to have a firearm. Which I need to do more research on bc being from the āSportsmanās Paradiseā (Louisiana), Iām used to sleeping with my shotgun next to my bed.
But have been looking at Sig Sauers for years. I would get both a Sig and a Glock. Love the Sigs and Glocks are just so tried and true and so easy to fix and reasonably pricedā¦ you canāt go wrong.
Iām sorry to see someone leave over a topic. Iām good with the discussion.
It was so completely refreshing to me that this thread popped up.
I know that the peace and love culture has primarily claimed cannabis as its own but if anyone here has listened to the song copperhead road. Theyād know that there is a different demographic that also partake. Some of us are former law enforcement or millitary and cannabis is a godsend for post traumatic stress. Forgotton are the bikers and āruffiansā gearheads, and agrerains or old time Midwest farmers who all made their contribution.
With legalization you will find many new members to this green family.
We canāt all agree on everything but we can agree to disagree amicably.
āI volunteered for the Army on my birthday
They draft the white trash first,'round here anyway
I done two tours of duty in Vietnam
And I came home with a brand new plan
I take the seed from Colombia and Mexico
I plant it up the holler down Copperhead Road
Well the D.E.A.ās got a chopper in the air
I wake up screaming like Iām back over there
I learned a thing or two from olā Charlie donāt you know
You better stay away from Copperhead Roadā
We all play our part. Good hunting!
that was surprising and unfortunate. i donāt mind cannabis and guns. its a hell of a lot safer than alcohol and guns.
love the Steve Earle shout-out! one of the best weed songs ever and that whole album is outstanding.
I attended a medMJ support group recently here in legal Mass. and the guy next to me said heās been growing cannabis since bringing seeds back from Thailand in the early 70ās. hopefully I can ask him more about it at the next session, Iām sure heās got some great stories.
wow that would be awesome if he still had those genetics
btw thereās a group in New Hampshire called āFree State Projectā with a goal of getting thousands of people to congregate in NH to enact a Libertarian take-over - I remember they used to have an annual summer picnic that brought together open-carry enthusiasts and stoners. Bunch of people eating lunch and walking around with holstered firearms smoking joints! Not sure if they still have it, sounds like a great party to me!
*editā¦still going strong! itās expanded into an entire weekendā¦
To all my pistol packān Cannafarian brothers. I apologize. I over reacted. I have become hypersensitive to gun violence in America. It doesnāt take many school shootings, church massacres, music festival mass killings, to make this old hippie
Wanna scream or cry! Visions of dead children haunt me. Sorry I snapped. I love you my brothers and Happy Thanksgiving! Peace. Jah!
I encourage you to voice your concerns about guns.
ItĀ“s a relief to have you back. Business as usual, nothing happened here. @oleskool830
HppHrvst
BTW, you have a set of beautiful babies there! Super cute man!
I was hoping that you would come back around. Nice patch of young uns there.
much love @oleskool830 i get the impression itās mostly responsible gun owners around here !
