Homemade Salisbury Steak with red mashed garlic potatoes and green beans… with golden mushroom & roasted beef brown gravy.
I could have saved myself an hour or more and just grabbed a TV Dinner! :thinking::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::man_shrugging:

upstate NY such a large area . Utica , Saratoga springs, all heavily Italian influenced. I’m a central NY with family roots in Brooklyn. The grandma pies is what has my heart without fail.(the fresh basil and nice and garlicky) A good white slice is good (with the ricot)

I haven’t been in years, that’s close to home !! (i make the chicken parm at home ) I always liked Joey’s, Santangilio’s , Di lauros bakery.

Joey’s is pretty good. They make great Meatballs. I feel Angottis makes better pasta…I’m in love with their red sauce. It’s so delicious I honestly feel like I could drink it from a bowl. I’ve had Santangelos and Di Lauro’s too but not their red sauce. God now I’m craving pasta and it’s not even 9 a.m. yet. Maybe I’ll get take out tonight. lol

I worked down the street from Angottis for years. I was an AV Installer for a local company. I’m still close by though. I often get take out there, since covid they don’t offer dine-in anymore.
