ā¦no,Saturday night
They could have used another 2 weeks
Personal experience from the past hereā¦
Young guys or gals when in pairs or groups tend to be assholes at the gym.
Iāve gotten mooās, oinks and nasty commentsā¦ but I was younger, and took it to heart more easily.
Now I donāt give a fuck, and will moo right back at themā¦or ell them to STFU.
At least I am trying to be a better person, and they are apparently OK with staying an asshole.
Just mentally preparing myselfā¦
Beautiful!
Do you do only traditional (walnut/pistachio) or have you played with your recipe?
Gotta tell ya-- a handful of hazelnuts added to the mix is a game-changer!
Woah!!! I wouldāve been kicking them out of the gym for anything like that. I see Iāve been lucky where Iāve worked out, because thatās some real asshole stuff there. Sorry you had to deal with that at the gym. Super lame if nobody said anything to them either. Best of luck on your health and fitness journey!!!
Sorry to hear that. Its hard enough finding the motivation to workout sometimes without shit like that.
Got that rightā¦
Itās why I stopped going.
I donāt even bother with the gym I just workout at home. Jogging and calisthenics are all you really need anyway. Good luck.
Home gym is much cleaner than most gyms too and nice gyms/clubs are crazy expensive these days. Burn more calories in a day than you consume in a day. Sounds so easy, but itās not. Yoga and Pilates will change your life for the better as well. I love mini trampolines for at home too.
Made BBQ chicken & Mash Potatoes last night, Potatoes had sourcream, Green onion, Garlic & cheese mixed in. No photos though cause we ate it fast.
Although, Ive recently have started bakeing Sourdough bread cause we are concerned about the ingredients in box store bread, so we are making our own bread from now on, to be healthy.
Thusly we got a GOOD deal on Cast Iron skillets (Princess Auto) local to me had SICK deal on this stuff, The large skillet with the glass lid was just $14.00 If they had more, I would have got more.
For now, seasoning these beautiful skillets for the 2nd time today with Avocado oil.
Are you doing anything about surface prep and seasoning or going as is?
Cheers

All I did was use sea salt + Lemon juice to scrub all surfaces with a soft sponge for a few mins, Then washed with water only, NO SOAP!
Dryed with paper towl (it shreads badly) tossed into oven for 10mins to make sure its 100% bone dry.
Took out of oven, slathered Avocado oil on all surfaces with paper towel, placed in oven at 400Ā°f for 1hr, let cool completely in oven (took hours) then again once cooled, covered in Avocado oil, back in oven at 400Ā°f for 1hr upside down this time. Let them completely cool before removing from oven, hung on wall.
Before 1st use, will use a little more Avocado oil to cook with.
Cleanings = Water + soft sponge only, dry completely, spray thin layer of oil again and hang on wall, every time they are usedā¦
Which is daily, cause we dont have any other pans to cook with now lol @Gpaw
Fresh grown koji.
Rice mold used to make things like amazake, sake, soy sauce, miso and other things
Iāve been doing Pilates for about a year, twice a week for the last several months, and Mrs. mota has been doing it for about six months longer. Sheās now doing it 3 - 4 times a week. We both love it! Itās good for me also because I get about a mile walk home. Itās the downhill direction. I have a friend take me up the hill!
Thatās awesome to hear Mota!! Best of luck to the wife and yourself on keeping up with the Pilates.
I checkedā¦ great pricing, if anyone is thinking about cast iron, this is a great dealā¦
Cheers

Thank you so much, @PatHealy! We both love it!
One of the things I like so much about it is that we do it for different reasons. Like many women, Mrs. mota has struggled with her weight most of her life. Itās part of a get healthy/lose weight regimen she has been on for several years (Pilates being the newest aspect). I, on the other hand, have always been trim and athletic. I do Pilates to aid in my recovery from a stroke I had seven years ago.
Like I said, I love that the two of us can express two aspects of the versatility of Pilates.
Thatās really cool to hear!! Pilates really is amazing. I wish I could get everyone to try some yoga and Pilates with a good diet for a month. Itās crazy how much better you feel both mentally and physically. I see you getting those avocados in daily. Smart move there. Yoga and Pilates need a better publicist. Haha. Steroids, diets of all red meat and no fruit or veggies, high injury weightlifting, and so on are what are popular instead these days. Weird. Haha.
Also, if youāve never checked out Joesph Pilates, he was an extremely interesting character. Haha.
He certainly was! He designed a Pilates bed!
Itās almost counter intuitive to think that straight mat work is the most difficult to do properly. The rollers and balls, the reformer and the cadillac and all the other devices are actually there to prep the student for the mat.
My first experience with yoga was in 1966/7. Straight Hatha yoga, then Kundalini (under Yogi Bajhan himself (before all the shit hit the yogic fan! HA!)), and then practicing Kriya at Self-Realization Fellowship for 3 1/2 years where I became an usher at Lake Shrine, a seriously beautiful 1/2 acre natural lake 1/4 mile from the foot of Sunset Blvd. at Pacific Coast Highway.
