What size led for a 5x5?

18 inches more or less. Pretty set once stretch is over. I used a net to train the canopy last time and it worked really really well, anything under or for the most part got trimmer off.

Yes, if it can suck air through it, it can blow air through it.

Yes I know, it’s just one more thing I researched when I switched to LED.

Just depends. I have a seed run going and don’t do much training with them, just let them grow naturally. I tend to mount my light as high as possible and just use the dimmer and a PAR meter. It uses more power but I don’t have to adjust light height.

my garden always overgrows and i dont have enough height. I see these commercial grows and the lights are way up there and I dont think they are stupid, they must know something

What they know is that the upfront costs of HID are significantly lower than LEDs.

It’s a totally different animal.

Id get the Mammoth 880w. Its 2711 umol, and 3.1 efficiency. Also uses the newest Samsung EVO Mint White LED Diodes. It has a spectrum thats like combining HPS/Metal Halide.
$800usd. Les than $1 a watt, and 3.1 efficiency. 2711umol 8 bars, and 432 diodes per bar. 3456 total. IMHO best, most powerful light for the money.

It’s funny to me that the review is a Migro

(No shade intended, just funny that a recommendation for something else comes through Migro. I bought my last light on their recommendation.)

Hi i would like to her your opinion on the new lm301h evo diodes specialy compared to the lm301b.

Im searching for an new light and in the moment im thinking about these

Spider farmer se1000
LM301B +660 total of 3710 diodes for roughly 522 with shipping from eu ware house
Roughly 522€

Mars hydro fc 1000 lm301b
Also 3710 diodes and more or less the same as se1000.

Redfarm g3
Lm301h evo 2304diodes
Osr 660 128
730. 16 diodes

Or would you recommend something different

If it were me I would go with the FC 1000 as I have had great results with the FC series lights. 301b and 301h are basically the same. I think the only difference is a Sulphur coating if I remember correctly. Ypu won’t see any difference in the plants between the 2 different diodes.

Yeah for the price 522 i would like go with the se1000 from spider farmer which is exactly the same ( i still think they are zhe same company).
So even compared to the lm301h evo which has 3.14qmol/j which brings the light to an efficiency of 3qmol/j while the lm301b has “only” 2.9

Nope, not the same company at all. The lights are pretty similar though. I reccomended the brand I use but I don’t see any issues with the SE1000. Your plants won’t care about the ever so slight difference in efficiency and I dont know just how accurate those numbers really are. Companies always try to paint their products in the best way possible. So yeah, I am sure the SF light will do a fine job.

In my 5x5 the scorpion Diablo need to be raised above 24 inches because running it at full strength was to intense
@DougDawson had to remind me that there so different from a hps
Running a hps I ran as close as possible keeping room at 76 to 80 deg cool as possible an co2 , the scorpion Diablo out performs any co2 sealed room with hps an at 3/4 of the knob turned
Efficiency an temp was outstanding for a 5x5 no co2
Didn’t need a ac much either
