Fc8000 it is thanks doug
Itās too early to say other than it throws a beautifully even footprint itās quiet it seems to be built nice I canāt speak to the spectrum yet or obviously the longevity as I just got them
No worries. The LED thing can be such a deep rabbit hole. When I first switched I went down that hole and found it a bit overwhelming. What I realized is that many of the fine points I was focusing on just donāt really matter much in the end. I mean does it really matter if your efficiency is 2.7 umols/joule or 2.8 umols/joule? Will a 301b work that much better than a 301h? In the end I make my recommendation because I have grown with this light a bunch of times and it produces great results. HLG, Migrow, Gavida and so many others do produce good lights that will get the job done so not throwing hate at any other brands. If you do go that route donāt forget the coupon code above. Itās only 3% but still, might as well save a few bucks by typing a word.
Even Migro agrees that Mars is good value for the money
yeah what Doug said you could pick out 100 of these lights theyāre all near identical yes there are some that are better than others but to be honest all the new bar lights are so damn good all you need to do is set par at the canopy and you can use any of these lights and get fantastic results, You honestly donāt need the rolls Royce to grow this stuff
I ran a mars board for a long time and was pleased with the results.
I partially chose the Migro, independent of specs, because I learned a lot about light from them and supporting that is worth something to me. For what itās worth they also recommended the board in question at the time.
I went with the micro because I have the ability to split it apart for different heights or pretty much use it however I want
Thanks guys i really appreciate it
Doug how wide is the unit? I have a pretty big 8 inch filter hanging hope that dont get in my way
Put your filter outside the tent and push thru it. If you run out of height. Isnāt an issue unless you do.
Smart! I could just route a piece of duct to suck air from in the tent to blow out through the filter
Man, Iām, looking for a light for a 4x4, I may need to look at mars.
My last purchase was a mars ts3000 450w board for my 4x4. Works but I got small buds probably my fault Iām just gettin started
Yeah, that filter would be in the way, I keep mine above my light but use a 6" vented out the window. @ColeLennon gave some good advice, it works to save space inside the tent.
I run the FC 6500 which is a Mars 650W bar light. It does a fantastic job and I am using it right now for my bud run. Now I donāt want to sound like some kind of Mars Hydro fan boy or anything, they did give me these lights for free. But I have run journals with them here on OG and the results speak for themselves. That said, there are many great light manufacturers these days so lots to choose from.
Thatās underpowered for that space IMO. That would lead to smaller buds.
Does every filter work both ones? I looked over the one i bought its an ac infinity 8 in it doesnt mention being able to blow thru it and still working but you guys would know more then me.
Thats what i was thinking if i dont blow thru it. Keep light below it. I would lose maybe a ft of head space tho
Iām running 2 400w led and that seems to be the ticket. The equivalent of 2 600w hps. I did run with one and once I went to 2 it was a significant difference.
I have a 600 and a 230w and a 100r in the 5x5. Going to add another 230 or 100r to the mix.
301 h isnt an improvement, its just some sulphur proof coating for commercial greenhouses that run sulphur burners.
How high are you all running the led over the top of the canopy? And how deep are your canopy? 18 inch long colas or spread out more? Im still learning.
