Most interesting place for me was in an abandoned city under an island.
I’m very surprised nobody has said “yo momma’s house.”
It’s like a critical fail.
The time, ‘87, the place 150’ Rappel Tower, Korat Air Base, Korat Thailand. I was part of the “early” group to arrive and “rehab” the old barracks for “Cobra Gold ‘87” About 5 days into the deployment, eating at a local “rice shack” got to know the owners pretty well. They invited me over for dinner, and after dinner and quite a few drinks, asked if I “smoked”. Well, being on deployment, In Thailand, and wanting to experience what the world offered, said “hell yes”.
They proceeded to whip out some smoke, and a real nice bong, and we sat smoked, and I got absolutely fried. I was given a “care package” to go back with.
It wasn’t easy to find a place to smoke around an air base, and being “Foriegn” military, the eyes were on us. So, we decided to get out of eyesight, and the “smell zone” and that the rappel tower was a pretty good place, and it was. Amazing views, spectacular sunset, and some pretty wicked smoke. We would wander up just before sunset, watch the sunset, then just after dark, would rappel back down. It was hella fun being stoned and bouncing down the tower back to the earth.
