SBF doesn’t exist anymore; no Muhammad.
Yes.
Also, I generally am the one holding and I know exactly what went into it.
Wait seriously? You actually ask how everything is grown including specific pesticides used before you deign to take a rip from a joint someone passes you?
lol ok
yah but here’s the thing boys and girls. Here in the real world, and I don’t want you to think I’m shitting on you vernal, the justice league just lost a huge contract by doing exactly what you said.I want you to seriously think about that. Here in the real world, someone just lost a contract to produce weed because they tested positive for a banned substance used to control powdery mildew which generates hydrogen cyanide when smoked. That’s real world shit, man. I’m just changing the names to protect the guilty. I can’t emphasize how I’m saying this because I want to help people. No, I’m not calling anyone down or calling names, just know, that in the real world, those banned substances don’t work out, you will be canned from the scene with extreme prejudice. Please understand, people, that this is the truth. Of course my disclaimer is, I’m not the boss of you, so you can do whatever you want. Except I demand you read and understand this paragraph! heh heh.
I don’t grow weed under contract, and I never will. I’d say most people here don’t.
If it were truly that dangerous, actual significant amounts of hydrogen cyanide, someone would have died by now. I bet there’s more cyanide in an apple seed than any traces you could get smoking something with trace levels measured in ppb. I ain’t the only one using it.
I know, and I wish I could help them all. shrug
That conversation has been over dude, it was from another thread. Don’t tag me on your bullshit weeks later in a different thread trying to provoke something.
If you have that much of an issue with vernal, go meet him somewhere and fight about it. Just leave me the fuck out of it OK ? I’m over here minding my own business and you wanna tag me on some shit that has nothing to do with me.
Do what you want with your plants, I could give two fucks about what you or anyone else does in there garden.
And you assumed wrong. I didn’t even know you existed until last month and I told you I wasn’t talking about you. Again, leave me out of your conversations, I don’t want to be involved in the drama
ahh good stuff, so in the end right… My objective is to show people how to be compliant with the framework of health canada. The problem with suggesting banned substances is then it can become someone’s confirmation bias. The next generation of cannabis growers which will be the industry, have to be familiar with the concepts involved around managing parasites inside the boundaries set by people far more clever than you or I. By setting a high bar, about not using banned substances, I hope to change people’s thinking, so they can produce superior weed for the next generation. If I can’t pay it forward to improve things, who am I? Just another Classic Human™. The super best friends will change the world, but for the better, not like a bunch of squabbling prophets.

Now how do u treat the buds to ensure Noone has a respiratory issue from the pm
I just took down a bunch but managed to freeze within 2 hrs. Is there anything I need to do to treat it before I wash ? Or will the winterizing of the flower and the ice cold washing eliminate the said pm? Thank you as well
There are lots of things you can do. There are a few ways to wash buds if you wish.
I feel that the bubble process washes them well enough for my needs
If you’re really worried about it then just make butter. No problem.
All the best.
Throwing it away is the safest option. Blasting it with a hydrocarbon or some 99% ISO may kill most of the nasty stuff, but not something I’d like to do. Mold sucks.
To update since this, the G. cichoracearum affecting Cannabis and G. spadiceus have been recognized as a synonyms of G. ambrosiae.
Golivinomyces ambrosiae can infect alternate hosts mostly in the Asteraceae including Aster, Dahlia, Ambrosia (ragweed), Eupatorium (Joe pye weed, white snake root), and Zinnia.
Cucurbits do not seem to be alternate host risks.Qiu_et_al.BMCMicrobiology20202051.pdf (1.5 MB)
I love it. So much better than people crying powdery mildew is everywhere!!!
They had me at:
Powdery mildews are obligate biotrophic ascomycetes
Spores, Joe. The spores are airborne and everywhere except maybe high altitude and far out to sea and I guess probably fewer spores in the winter at high latitudes.
Run poor airflow with higher humidity and a lot of dense growth and you’ll get it eventually. In the air waiting to land somewhere with suitable conditions.
How does algae get on a rockwool cube in a basement? Did I bring fish and aquatic plants and pond soil in my growroom? How did I get marchantia on a rockwool? Did I bring dirt inside? Or are some things simply airborne and ubiquitous?
I feel like you have a fundamental misunderstanding of mildew, and view it as something you can only get from bringing infected plants in your growroom.
hey vernal, you should read that article @anon4675195 posted. If you fail to educate yourself, you will be fighting mildew forever like the real world poisoner.
