How many would you add to a 5gal fabric pot?
They’re coming in today (some red wigglers).

I would probably put 5 -10 or so and then use a rest in a compost bin.
A dozen of worms would be great I think at least that’s what I did got some big ole night crawler at the bottom n red wigglers on top lol they seem to be doing fine
Made my night Doug. Was kind of in a funk with some life stuff and that cracked me up
.
I am glad bud. I love that show, have all the episodes on my drive. It was a ton of fun and I will never forget that song, lol.
One of those dudes lived here for 20 years . The Venus flytrap guy. Tim Ried
Ah yes, Venus Flytrap, alias Gordon Simms or as they called him in reality, Tim Reid. I remember him well. Don’t recall ever seeing him in anything else but he was funny.
We used to get high and watch WKRP in reruns everyday. Good memories. ![]()
I would do 5-7. Be sure to have organic goodies in your mix and in 5 months you’ll have 20-30 which will be too many for a 5g pot. Haha.
Truth is high quality EWC like Jims or Cowoco will have enough living to get started. Ive seen worms in a bag of Malibu iirc.
Yaay worms!!
Peace
Pix…of your worms?
Get a worm bin going, or 3 or 4 ![]()
TY for the pix.
i was gonna start worm farm once, but nah.
what you get tea aside from castings out of the containers too?
Yeah theres always some worm juice… but mostly for the castings… i think i produce around 100 litters of castings a year…
a litter of them is what weight, or volume?
castings are the best fert, as i understand it.
Volume… idk a litter is pretty heavy… a 5 gallon bucket worth of castings every 3 months or so…
well, 5 gal is plenty to finish how many plants to harvest?
Well, depends how you using, u could use it at around 30% of soil mix… u can top dress, u can add to your water and water it in…
Many different applications…
Usually takes around 3 months for to turn rich dark black… u can see the different stagess of the bin
Its also full of worm cocoons which produce around 3-5 worms… so using this will inoculate your soil with worms as well!
