2020 Cannabis with Meesh

Leaf blowers help more in the mornings and after rains … if you have the patience to blow all the plants… sometimes just easier to count your losses and keep the scissors out

I use a leaf blower to knock off the dead fans off before spraying . No use spraying dead leaves they also pickup a lot of moisture like a sponge . So far humidity is no problem its bone dry and still plenty of smoke from the fires .One plant is a aphid magnet every couple of weeks I spray the same plant then everyone touching . There’s just a couple here and there but that can turn into thousands .

Honestly gramps, the drier climate you have north of me is even more ideal than my Southern Cali climate. I believe you get about an hour more of sun than I do and less humidity than I get down here on the coast. My average humidity is around 68%, but has been as high as 80% recently with the Mexico Hurricanes and Tropical storms. It feels like Florida here lately. Not sure why you don’t have any caterpillar issues though, it’s SOOOOO bad here!

@Sunvalley so it’s not a completely ludicrous idea! Thank you! I intend to blast the Indicas first thing in the mornings to help dry the dew and after BT sprays. Obviously not a cure all, but can’t see how it could hurt.

This evening the backyard gets a Cal/Mag drench per the soil test. I just gave the 2 container girls an entire bucket of cal/mag water last week, so they are okay for now. At this point, they look like they need more Magnesium and silicone than Calcium to me. I’ll give them some epsoms next week. Also the dry nutes for the container plants need to be replaced. The package said monthly, and it’s been a month or 6 weeks, so I’ll add some again.

Just read an article about kelp being incredibly helpful for controlling heat stress in plants! All you outdoor growers in a hot climate should run out for some kelp extract or water soluble kelp stat. I have a heat advisory for this weekend, so the container plants will get a dose of kelp with their watering tomorrow.

I’m having a hard time getting any work done today. Too obsessed with the plants and garden today. Sheesh! At least I got 300 bucks billed out. Eh

It’s funny the weird knowledge you gain from gardening that you didn’t even realize you knew, until something comes up. Today I had to give Dad a lesson on how buds form, what they form out of and the basic breakdown of a bud before I set him loose performing bud surgery. He wanted to just shear off hairs basically and I had to show him how the buds form in little flower sections even though it looks like one big flower, so he could just cut off infected sections of bud without destroying the whole thing. I just didn’t realize how thoroughly I understood the structure inside and out. Hopefully I have more useful knowledge rolling around in this noggin of mine when other shit comes up.

I always have wasp in my plants. Have a video I took of one on the ground trying to fly and looking drunkenly. Lol

It was totally dead, just stuck there by his legs. Last year they never went near the cannabis, but they had more wasp attractive options I guess. Wasps kind of scare the heck out of me, but I would have tried to free it if I had found it alive

I don’t know about insects, but heard that all mammals have cannibanoid receptors. Sounds like it gets the wasps and bees high too

From what I heard bees do not, but wasp do… Im not a scientist but if I knew how to post a video I would show ya. First time in a community like this.

Videos are tricky if they are your own. I upload mine to a private YouTube then just post the link.
For videos already on Youtube, you just copy and paste the link. Hope this helps if you are ever so inclined.

Guess I could that. Thanks!

I’m sure there are other ways to do it as well and as a leader here I should probably know, but alas YouTube is the only way this old lady could figure out how to do it.

I thought you said pants, so I spent two minutes looking for a suitable meme. Didn’t find one, but this made me laugh, so thanks for that :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Hey I really dig the video. You remind me of the urban @Sunvalley, lol. Your dad must still be in a shop somewhere assembling pvc plant frames.

The Blue Dream and Cackleberry seemed like the the fattest of the colas. Very nice.

Hey, I got some MammothP today. I went by the grow shop in town to see if they carried it. The cheapest size was the 8oz(250ml) for $87. …gulp.

I told him I wanted to try it soon and he gave me a couple of 2oz sample bottles. So, that’s basically $45 freebie. Very cool. My plants all get inoculated tomorrow, heh. Mine started fattening up all of the sudden. Very happy atm.

He said the reps are in often. They’re from northern Colorado.

Thanks for the video!

I planted basil and marigolds in the pots of tomato, pepper, kale and okra. I noticed that wasps are attracted to the basil and marigold flowers. The wasps also crawl on the vegetables. I have not seen caterpillars despite seeing white moths and butterflies.

This video may be the reason the caterpillars are missing.

I swear by Mammoth P! It will last forever. You need a tiny eyedropper thing for it. You use very little. I can not guarantee it’s effectiveness at this stage of the game though as you are supposed to inoculate every week from birth. However, the microbe certainly won’t hurt it. It’s worth the money as it comes out to pennies dose wise. I have experimented on my entire garden with it. It works on veggies and flowers too. Stoked on the freebies! That’s quite a score!

The trellises were easy peasy to assemble after the first one or two. He got really fast at it with the second and 3rd layers were added. Mostly just a large tinker toy and they are working wonderfully! At most the net will have to be restrung next year if we have to cut for ease at harvest. We were also stoked because we found half of the pvc we needed that was buried under probably 20 years worth of compost once we cut all those trees down back there. So it cut down the cost. I didn’t realize how pricey pvc is??? I’m such a girl. It was a worthy investment that will bring years of trellising back there. I think the beauty of the design was we came up with all the measurements while last year’s plants were growing in. If I had tried to figure it out afterwards, I would have never remembered.

Just thought of something… If it’s on order with your local shop, don’t pick it up. Check Amazon first, I got mine for 70 bucks. Same size. Ask your local shop if they price match as well, mine does. Although the 4 oz you got for free will last you a year. lol

Ahhhh Mammoth P… I put that shit on everything! lol
