I also harvested DBHP in November last year with no mold. The jungle spice rotted on me though. Much higher humidity here though.
Gotcha. What is the humidity generally where you are?
Also do you think you would benefit from putting a hoop house in your grow area?
Average is 67% This year we had 6 weeks straight of 77% Why I got hit so hard, this year comparitively. Usually, it just molds up Indicas lol Not my whole damn crop.
Dang thats unfortunate
I have no idea, Iāve never used one. Do they make them 9 ft tall? The Cheese is close to that with the top colas now. Do they cut down on humidity?
Im sure you could get/make one that size. I dont know if it cuts the humidity necessarily but it gives you the ability to have air constantly circulating with the use of fans. I custom made one this year and it was pretty simple once i got it all figured out. Also it was really affordable.
Iād say harvesting in darkness was more about subterfuge & guerilla than plant benefit. But Sunrise is fine too.
If you put a plant out now itāll veg then flower like an auto. (IME). but mid december i had one flip-flop & reveg mid flower.
Iām looking forward to your smoke report on that Cackleberry. Itās a fatty, too. They all look great @meesh.
Iāve found this to be true. If you remember Jeff Lowenfelās book Teeming with Microbes, he states that up to 60% of the sugar that the plant produces with photosynthesis moves to the roots at night in the form of exudates.
That being said, getting up at 5AM is not something I would like doing either.
The āharley peopleā start at 4am here.
So Skunk 1 is almost completely bud rot. Not sure it can be salvaged. Marathon harvesting is starting Tmw 5:30 am and Sat, Sun and Mon. Most of the bud in the drying rack will be packed up to cure on Saturday and anything else drying that we spread into more than one layer has shrunk up enough to consolidate the drying bud of the same strain. I canāt tell you how bummed I am to go outside today and find the Skunk 1 absolutely decimated with huge brown colas and such. Weāll see if any can be saved. At this rate, Iām starting to worry that we wonāt have enough bud for the whole year. All of the plants except UFS are rotting.
Do I need to give you that JWa recipe again In dealing with caterpillarās and bugs Shitting in all your plants? Sorry for your losses itās kinda like getting all your buds seeded .
Iām looking at a huge marathon in the near future myself, went from no catapillars to babies on almost everything, tons of rain predicted on the 9th , Iām about 90percent done anyways but nature is gonna make me do it all in a hurry
Seriously? I forecast that a month ago-- good on me.
A week early it IS.
I found one last night and sprayed all the girls no such thing as one caterpillar . Doctorzymes all around donāt know how well it works with caterpillars found six on one plant last week and sprayed . Canāt find any on that plant if they eat a leaf it should kill them before they do much damage . If their just eating leaf their helping as long as they stay off the bud .
I pulled around thirty babies and 5 or six adults, itās time consuming but once i see one everything gets inspected no easy task got me up on a ladder doing balancing acts
@cannabissequoia thatās what the weather man says , will see what happens but best to be ready in case a monsoon hits lol
My skunk plant is fucked you guys! This one actually made me shed a few tears. Iām really trying not to be a little cry baby about all the bud rot, but Iām heart-broken. Iām sure Iāll get my perspective back once all the bud is harvested, dried and cured. For nowā¦ Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!
Aw, that sucks! My condolences
