Trust levels are not important to identify where some one is, that part of the sign up can stay as is. Just adding your country next to your name is not a big deal, and would be very helpful.
Are you talking OG seed runs in general, or co op seed runs? If its co op, you are wrong.
New members, as demonstrated here in this thread, do not read the information they need to read to participate properly, which means distros sometimes don’t get sent information regarding where they are on the planet, which leaves us guessing when Sebring asks us to check the lists to see how many seed packs we need for each country, or how many Canadians, UK, Australia, Europe, and the rest have signed up for something.
When seeds get shipped direct to the distro, the breeder asks me the distro, how many people are on this list in your country. Again having an identifiable country will make our lives a lot easier. I have been doing this 2 years plus now, and trying to stream line it to save me hours of checking lists, and making sure new members are not missed because they haven’t sent in there info, and are unknown to there country distros.
Last fall box I received seeds from Sebring that should have gone to the UK, Aus, Europe, because he didn’t know where the members were from, and guessed wrong or made a mistake. Some of those seeds had to be sent back to him, the rest I had to get addresses for and send out cross border, which I do not like doing. This meant money had to be sent back and forth on Paypal, which charges fees for the exchange rates, to cover the shipping of these seeds to the right country. Money that could be better used for the server or helping out breeders.
If I did not think it was useful to have a country next to a name I would not be asking for it.
