2021 Spring Seed Runs Co-op Box information

Let’s recap this little bit here. Sebring gets a list of people that say what they get and who their distributor is. If the list was a distribution sheet here on OG or if it is in his diygreenlife db don’t matter it is all it needs to get to whomever. Nothing about trust levels.

Seed sign up sheets for ‘OG seed runs’ do not ship anywhere. Do not need country but do need trust level.

Now what you want is not always what you need so…

so flags and trust levels and lots of categories is your own lillte mess you have conjured

That was the reason I resigned as EU distributor, I didn’t want no one except Sebring having my real address, anyway breeder could check the flags, member levels and list order and consequently send the needed seeds to each distributor, no more info needed for him to know … :sunglasses:

Trust levels are not important to identify where some one is, that part of the sign up can stay as is. Just adding your country next to your name is not a big deal, and would be very helpful.

Are you talking OG seed runs in general, or co op seed runs? If its co op, you are wrong.

New members, as demonstrated here in this thread, do not read the information they need to read to participate properly, which means distros sometimes don’t get sent information regarding where they are on the planet, which leaves us guessing when Sebring asks us to check the lists to see how many seed packs we need for each country, or how many Canadians, UK, Australia, Europe, and the rest have signed up for something.

When seeds get shipped direct to the distro, the breeder asks me the distro, how many people are on this list in your country. Again having an identifiable country will make our lives a lot easier. I have been doing this 2 years plus now, and trying to stream line it to save me hours of checking lists, and making sure new members are not missed because they haven’t sent in there info, and are unknown to there country distros.

Last fall box I received seeds from Sebring that should have gone to the UK, Aus, Europe, because he didn’t know where the members were from, and guessed wrong or made a mistake. Some of those seeds had to be sent back to him, the rest I had to get addresses for and send out cross border, which I do not like doing. This meant money had to be sent back and forth on Paypal, which charges fees for the exchange rates, to cover the shipping of these seeds to the right country. Money that could be better used for the server or helping out breeders.

If I did not think it was useful to have a country next to a name I would not be asking for it.

Thanks for taking the time to explain in detail. In general I think it would be nice if the people doing all the distribution work would just be listened to instead of debating stuff like this which is like the easiest thing to do to make their lifes easier. Thanks a lot for your time and effort.

have you done a checkout from his store? your information is a bit out of date. on some of these scores.

If you area distributor and the one running seeds is one of yours. I think you know well before it is finished.
I will no longer respoond to this thread and it is now muted.

No, I dont need to do a check out from his store, I have more seeds than I know what to do with

I dont know how Sebrings store runs or what info he gets, my experience is from last fall where I had to re send seeds back him and send seeds to other distros. I was assuming it is still the same as last fall, from the PMs I recently got on the problems people are have using it, in regards to making payments.

Again no I dont, I dont look at the co op seed runs, or breeders seed threads, I usually dont know they exist until they finish and I am asked, can you help out with this seed run, and how many sign ups are in Canada, I could not even tell you how many co ops are running atm, I thought there were only 3 for this spring box actually, because that’s how many breeders have contacted me for numbers, If it wasn’t for Doug putting the sign up threads here, I would still think its just 3 and not 6.

As a distro you know what would make it easier for you. I am thankful there are people willing to do this for us. Everyone should want to help not fuss.

Most of the mis-shipped packs from last round were from addresses NOT added through my website.

This is the least we could do to make it easier for everyone here,

I’m still trying to figure out the exact number of EU people involved in the co-op / seed runs

There’s new ones every-time I check a new thread

So to put and EU after your name or :eu:
Is not hard and would be time saving for both Sebring and the rest of distributors

I agree 100% with you and @G-paS . Whatever the distributors want is what should be done. There is really no debate about that in my mind. None of this is meant to reflect negatively on anyone, especially you @Sebring . Seriously, all the hard work you and the distributors do is amazing and I for one am very grateful.

Hey mate

I’ll cross reference my distro list against the seed list this weekend and let you know what’s needed for Australia. Thanks again for your hard work in getting these out.

Cheers Johnny

This is the point I am trying to get across, and with a bit of extra info like a country after the name, you can put the person’s seeds in with the others being shipped to that country.

The country distributor can then hunt them down for their address, saving you time in your very busy life, and allowing the whole shipment to be sent. Instead of it all sitting there waiting on someone to reply to PM’s for their details or having to ship it separately later.

I am constantly surprised at how many members sign up for seeds and simply disappear without a trace and don’t answer their PMs, even after paying ahead for the seeds sometimes.

I have my lists of Canadians all sorted for these runs if you need me to pm you with them for the new members who have signed up buddy.

And wouldn’t it be much simpler to put in your profile your location, country or distribution zone? hum|nullxnull

With just a click that info would be available for once and for all in case you forgot to put it while signing in … ejem|nullxnull

Yes, that would be a good back up, but it’s better having it there on the list.

That way you don’t have to search for the persons user name and account on site here, and then click on the location. I can just copy and paste straight onto my PC and delete all the non Canadians, job done :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:
