If any of you have stuff out in the sun during the day already, there’s a threat of frost at night all week.
I like the fabric pots as well. The tan or lighter colored ones seem better to me than the black. The black ones get too hot for the root zone I believe.
Grape sundae sounds insane…I just plant 2 of my Blueberry Muffins clones in the ground . I made a half ass green house but it s warm and I m excited to start these finally… My reg BB dj Short seeds are looking great .I m so stoked to have them going also have 2 DJ Short BB fems going too. LSGTK, Lennon Soup Coastal BB ,GDP FEM FROM 00 seeds a Hindu Kush Fem from Nirvana and some other BB mixes …This is gonna be a great season.
Very nice, I wish you luck! I’m going to do a couple of Coastal Blueberry outdoors too. So many seeds, so many choices.
Same to u brother, I hope the weather is better this season…
So what’s everyone growing around here this season? (Are we still posting here, or is there a 2024 thread somewhere?) I’m excited to see if I can get some outdoor monsters out of RSC’s “Nepali Mountain Ganja,” and if it has potential around here. I’ve had great success with some of their Hindu Kush/Himalayans (especially Malana Cream and Mazar-i-Sharif) when it comes to hardiness and mold resistance… anybody else doing landraces?
I’m running a couple crosses with landraces as one of the parents. A nong khai mango Thai cross and a jalalabad cross.
This is what I started so far will be keeping the best of each and get this down to the best 12 fems and best 2 Males…
Dj Short BB 3 regs and 2 fems
5 Blueberry Muffins
4 Coastal Blueberry
5 1990s BB
3 AKA Brains Vintage BB
3 LSGTK
3 Lennon Soup
1 Quest
1 907 Blue Genes
1 GDP FEM 00seeds and 1 Hindu Kush fem from Nirvana
My buddy worked with the vintage blue berry. That’s some fantastic smoke right there
Nice! Will all of those be outdoors? Trying to figure out which more “worked” strains will work around here without coming up moldy in Sep/Oct. One of the things I like about the Himalayan landraces is that they seem pretty bulletproof, but potency (and finishing time) can be kind of a crapshoot.
Yeah , I m gonna be putting them out next week. I have to drive an hour to get to my land were I grow. It s a higher elevation and noticeably colder still. I m gonna update my thread with the grow and progress … I m hoping for no issues this season. I lost ounces from my Blue Dream last year ,the rain was brutal and bud rot killed me …
The Himalayan a Sativa ?? I got some awesome SSH and Skunk 1 seeds ,I was told the SSH takes forever and up here it might not finish in time… I have this strain Sinai landrace tht I m dying to grow up in my area just to see how it fars in the cold … This is an insane strain that suppose to grow in the mountains in coldest conditions… Just incredible
You know, Angus over at TRSC seems to spend half his time saying that landraces often don’t neatly present themselves along the sativa/indica binary that growers use as a shorthand. I’d honestly put Malana Cream and Kumaoni somewhere in the middle–neither very stony nor very energizing, neither narrow leaves nor particularly broad. Kind of their own thing. I appreciate the high–uplifting without being euphoric, relaxing without couchlock.
Sorry if that’s a wishy-washy answer, but it’s the truth! I’m hoping that “Nepalese Mountain Ganja” might be truth in advertising, and that there’s a sturdy, mold-resistant fast-finishing “ganja” pheno that can give us some of the sativa goodness that’s so hard to pull off outdoors here in the Northeast. Stay tuned?
Damn ,there s a bunch of us western Mass ogers, lol I love it… I m working on getting my new place .Once I do all are welcomed… Come by smoke have a beer and leave with a clone. LFG LOL
DDUDE …Those look beautiful…WTG Man…
