@Cannabiscrusader - Was just reading your dank doodle bin thread, and looks like the Meltdown had a lot of mold too…
@Doober the meltdown was good most of the grow, some botrytis as i harvested. As it hung, it got white mold all through the bud clusters. I was only able to save about 4 zips off her. Shes going to stay indoors until i can cross her with something more stable.
The meltdown might have done better if i thinned it out more at the end, but the surgeries i had done prevented me from doing much aside from watering.
I lost a lot of plants also. Brutal season for us. The list has narrowed and the experiments are severely curtailed for the future
A quick update;
I harvested the Moroccan Bedia the beginning of October and
got a few beans and after drying a week or so,
dropped about 30 beans in a window planter October 10th.
Amazingly most sprouted and have survived temps as low as 30F.
A few 70F temps should occur this week with 40sF in the mornings.
I’ll repot and bring inside over the weekend.
Moroccan Beldia
Next are the Iran3 and two Nepali Mountain Ganja males
which get chopped soon.
Iran3 and Nepali Mountain Ganja
Kalamata Red
Cretan
Vietnam Back
The Cretans will provide some mature seeds
Not sure about the Vietnam Black yet.
Hope to let these go as long as the weather permits.
Maybe late November-mid December.
Thanks for looking.
Quick update from 44N…got a bit chilly last night…was 19deg when I got up at 5:30am.
Weather Underground says mid-70s for Thur and Fri…then back to more normal temps heading in to voting day
@sunra108 You have a very interesting collection of plants my friend! Cool stuff.
I can’t believe all those seedlings sprouted so late in the season! Those are crazy vigorous genetics! Nice work
Thanks for your interest and encouragement @firehead.
I too am amazed the Beldia beans sprouted with the cold temps here and seem to be doing well.
Appreciate your feedback.
Anyone else in New England/Upstate NY still have plants in the ground?
I have about 15 in solo cups and other small containers.
My buddy still had one going 2 days ago
Ulster County ny
I don’t. I chopped my outdoor plants last week. They were maybe a little early, but with the damp mornings I was starting to see bud rot
The people whose plants I saw running still have some going as of yesterday (Southern Vermont).
Still have mine out – Greenhouse North Central CT – weathers been good so far, only a few nights at 28 - 32F and low humidity, big plus…
I started these 2 BOO very late in Massachusetts. Just wanted to see how far they could go. Still going on Halloween.
56 days until Seed Popping Day!
I’m gathering supplies to improve my indoor growspace.
Can’t wait.
Any landrace?
Psyched to hear that the Cretan repro seems like it will be successful! Did you save any branches to sample the flower as well?
Curious what sort of differences you found between this and the kalamata red? Any idea whereabouts the kalamata is from in situ?
Too soon to smoke either a Cretan, still have two girls to harvest, or the Kalamata Red.
I’ll keep you updated.
Hope to let them go a few more weeks or until I see a trace of amber in the trychs.
The Kalamata are from the Peloponneses in Greece.
