2nd Grow,Indoor-balcony mixed.Royal Gorilla auto

So,for this plant,the bigger One,new growth Is ok.Noticed some spots in older leaves and yellowing of the First three finger leaf.

She is thirsty so I am giving phed water and collect runoff to see the values
Just tested:Going in water:140 ppm about,6,65 pH circa.
Run off:6,70-75 pH water at 345 ppm circa or 734 us/cm
@MoBilly @Eagles009
Maybe the 100% strenght feed was too strong and got nute burn…?

The older leaves will not tell you what’s going on right now. Only the new leaves will tell whether or not you made the right choice in solving the problem.
Be patient and keep watching those new leaves. At 345 ppm I don’t think burn is happening right now.
Just my thoughts.

New small leaves seems green and healthy as shown in the picture in One of the colas.I’ll be patient and wait for new symptoms and growth

They look good, all of my plants have degrees of purpling on the stems. I would keep rotating feed and water every other. I don’t see any glaring problems.

I am concerned about that blotches Appeared today on those rather new leaves

Check ppm on the runoff against the ppm going in. I agree with Eagles thoughts though. My only difference would be: If you find the runoff ppm is below 500 I would water straight pH water every third watering until the ppm comes up to, at least, the 900’s. Then every other watering.
Six of one, half dozen of the other.
Always remember though, my friend, I am just a novice grower. Eagles has it ALL over my experience.

Reader’s Digest version, you are doing well. You just keep both eyes open. Holler anytime.

Noticed also some thrip and got to spray all the plants,from bottom to top,Bud included with neem and potash soap,both bio.Got Them very damp,up and underneath the leaf.Hope that doesn’t ruin bud’s smell.
Update:Still got some thrips on One plant,have to check the other that seems ok at First sight.Gonna fight those suckers with neem and potash until week 3 of flowering

Update:sudden yellowing and drooping

I Fed for three days at full strenght biobizz nutes and had a runoff of about 400 before giving nutes.Watered Yesterday only water.The plant was drooping but pot was pretty wet underneath First inch of soil.Maybe it’s overwatering?She started together with the other plant to yellowing the bottom leaves.Pretty fast.
Are they hungry?
@MoBilly

It starts in the middle of the leaf and It becomes yellow limeish and then crispy and droopy plain Yellow,very Easy to take off the plant.
It seems nitrogen to me,deficiency.
Week 6 of flowering.Still 4 more.

Update:I assumed It s nitrogen working its way up from bottom and leaf tip,so I gave Them 500 ml both ppm about 600 at full strenght biobizz nutes as the schedule says.Ph 6,5

@Eagles009
Do you think maybe this looks like a case of over watering causing nute lock? It’s a deficiency of some kind but it sounds like enough nutes are going in. :thinking:

I am going to let the soil dry for 2 days from now,since I watered in the morning

I wouldn’t do that. I would buy a moisture meter asap.

I ordered One.By the way,Will I destroy some roots ti measure?How can I avoid Killing some root while sliding It through the soil?

My wife just rams it into the pot… and leaves it there. :woozy_face:
You do have to remove them and clean the prongs once in awhile.

The roots will be just fine. I check the moisture on my plants every day because I’m using so many different mixtures of soil. Those roots grow so very fast it won’t hurt them a bit.
Have you seen the solo cup grows? To keep the roots from getting bound up in the bottom of the cup, they pull the plant up and cut the bottom third of the root ball off. Then they add fresh soil and plop the root ball back in. Within two or three days the roots are coming out of the bottom.
Trust me, it won’t hurt them a bit.

Tomorrow when I wake up I ll post an update.The situation Is getting worse.The soil Is very compact,roots are Just under the soil and It Feels moist under them but,the plant Itself shows drooping and,when watered very poorly,with a Cup,literally,the droopy leaves come back to Life.
Also the yellowing Is progressing up…very fast…
I am thinking roots can’t take oxygen cause are compact with soil,and,they are drowning since the soil feels moist under them.I am going to lode the plants…
I Just checked the border of the pot,It s dry,dry soil,but root Mass adjacent Is like a piece of concrete,very humid and smelling like moist soil

Try this if you want. It won’t hurt them.

Take a skewer of some kind and starting about an inch from the wall of your container, angle it at an angle to go about 4 or 5 inches under the base of the plant.
Do this about six times going around the pot.
That will allow water to penetrate into the soil.
Afterwards repeat this every 2 or 3 waterings.
The only way, if your soil is compacted, to get water in there is to create paths for it.
That’s just what I would try.
I believe it would be worth a try. I’m sure it won’t hurt.
Remember, only go around half way down into the pot. You don’t want to create channels all the way to the bottom or the water will run through and not soak in.

I Just poked holes with 3 millimiter metal Rod I use to make Vaping coils,and did this into the compacted soil to get air inside.Also,as To feed her some N and Alg a mic,I put 1 ml of each in 500 ml of Distilled water,pH 5,70 and foliar fed.It s three am in the morning here and I Need to rest,so this Is for now.Tomorrow I Will Try your technique,thank you so much for following the thread
