3D printed DIY Bean packager

That would be the way to share seed runs. I wonder how many fully loaded kit kats could fit in an envelope and be under an ounce.

That’s awesome! Things like this make me really want to pull the trigger on a 3D printer. There’s just so much you can do with them both creatively and practically.

I made the screw top for personal stash as I don’t really mail much stuff yet and a sticker isnt permanent. My bad I didn’t specify why I made it. Def wasn’t trying to reinvent the wheel and didn’t intend for it to be a replacement for what yall are working on here.

I think they were just toying with ideas for built in caps, yours came up cause it’s a solid example of a screw top

Kinda… Just doing some numbers here on 50 pcs, 10 hole pucks. Print time for the “coin” is 10.75hrs, print time for the caps is 2.75hrs

Well, the holder with cap will weigh about 5grams for the 30/36 idea. empty (I gotta fill and weigh tomorrow).

This is the friction fit test piece:

Ok. gonna work on some numbers now, and make a 3D print thread in a few… But first… a few hits of some bubble hash

Hey, thats the purpose of a 3D printer man, its all good!

I’ve been doing my own designs a few years and learned some tricks along the way. I have a few screw-together stash boxes. You’d be surprised, if you print one, then coat with flex seal, and use an o-ring to help seal, they can withstand 3 atmospheres of pressure (down to 30m underwater / 100ft!) Not like we’re bringing our stash to 100ft down  But I tested some in Cozumel last year…

Guess would be less printing for caps on a FDM machine, resin if same height then same time more or less.

Nice proto

You could put the screw in the middle of the puck like a umbrella. Use the sticker for the edges.

So I have come here sing the praises of @SensiBowl. I pack a ton of seeds and he kindly offered to make me up some of these pucks and a seed sorter like the one in the OP. Today I not only received the sorter with pucks and stickers but he also sent a really cool glass pipe and glass screens for it. Really cannot thank him enough. The time this is going to save me is no small thing. I tested it out and it works great. Here are some pics to show this amazing thing. I also showed the weight of the coin flip with washer vs the seed pod. The pod knocks off almost a full gram.

I got to say @SensiBowl has done me such a great service with this and I am very grateful to him for it. Now I can pack 9 at a time with minimal effort and also pack more into an envelope with a single stamp due to the weight difference. Thank you so much @SensiBowl , you are amazing.

Honestly I think it will save a ton of time. I filled those 9 pucks in a few seconds. The time saved in both taping up flips and also counting seeds is going to be huge. You are a rock star brother, you really are.

All distributors should have those! That’s a wonderful tool. I want one now. I usually only load a handful of of flips at a time but that’s definitely a useful item

How long does it take to print those things?
I like the glass screens too.
