You are the King of Dealing With Plant Problems haha! Seriously, I don’t know how you do it…
The doctor zymes protocol is to spray three days in a row, and then after that didn’t seem to be stopping the holes, I sprayed the BT… those aren’t regular practices but felt I needed to do it to try and stop a potential outbreak… I’d rather nip it in the *bud than let it get out of hand personally if you call that stress I guess
Something is/was def eating the leaves, what do you think was doing that?
Dude, I dunno. I don’t think anything’s “eating the leaves.” I think you’re just so used to looking at pictures of plants in High Times and IG posts that any little thing freaks you out. Your plants are fine. You’re all good.
Here’s a close up of one:
Now, either there wasn’t any pests or the IPM worked, or I’ll get more holes lol
Ps, if you didn’t realize, while the plants are in some decently sealed (not 100% perfect) grow tents/boxes, they are in a basement that has a decent amount of fairly open vents to the outside, so I would think it’s prob possible for me to get some critters.
Mhm. Yeah. Probably your grow is just super-infested with every pest ever. Aphids, spider mites, caterpillars… They’re all destroying your grow as we speak. You should definitely foliar every single day.
Or you could just LITFA and enjoy watching your plants grow.
Dude, seriously, there’s nothing wrong with that plant. There a little chunk missing from that leaf. So what? That happens and it’s not because of pests. There’s always some kind of weird growth or discoloration or whatever. You’re fine.
You’re obviously just gonna do whatever it is you wanna do, despite everybody here telling you to leave your plants alone, so… Do it. Foliar every day. Buy a bunch of ladybugs or something. Maybe even burn some sulphur or whatever it is that people use to deal with PM or spider mites.
I wasn’t planning on doing any more IPM for a week at least from now… it seems a lot of people do something once per week… I even remember seeing a video from Vader I feel like he was doing a couple different ones weekly as preventative but I could be wrong…
But yeah, BT I believe is once a week… I might not do anymore unless I see something…
I was thinking of doing the maintenance solution instead goin forward from KNF which has OHN in it which I’ve heard helps with pests…
I forget, do you know much about KNF at all? I still have to learn more about it.
I don’t know anything about KNF. Or rather, I’ve read a lot about it and determined that it’s too much work and really completely unnecessary. Honestly, I just plant my seeds in the soil and they grow and I end up with a bunch of super-sticky and stinky weed. Sometimes I water or foliar with aloe or fulvic or neem oil or coconut water; sometimes I don’t do anything.
Growing weed is really easy. It’s only as difficult as you make it.
This @GnomeyByNature
Just like 6 months ago people were trying to tell me the same. If I listened earlier I could’ve had a better first harvest. You realize after sometime how little happens with these plants, and how for the most part they prefer you leave them alone. They are super drought tolerant, so when a weaker plant may start drooping they’re fine, but we expect weaker plant results. Weaker plants take FOREVER. Try to leave them alone for 2-3 days. Look all you want, but you can’t touch. If they die we’ll get you replacements.
This was a habit that killed my 3-4month old plants, I’d rather you got the chance to break it now rather than then.
You’re getting saucy again buddy.
Seriously though, I see both sides. Sit back, relax, smoke a joint, and apply lifts liberally. I understand about nipping stuff in the bud. Let’s chill and see what happens.
Minitger really just wants you to know this can be more enjoyable, and he is correct on that.
Knf really isn’t that complicated. Start by making a batch of labs and see how you like that.
Yeah I’m looking forward to the LABS for sure… I’m having plenty of fun and enjoyment with it…
I think knf isn’t all that tough, except for the IMO a bit… I also just bought some OHN and some comfrey FPJ… maybe one day I’ll make some as I got some comfrey growing now and I know KNF_Gardener does FPJ with cannabis leaves…
I 100% will be doing FFJ later as that makes a lot of sense to me, Very curious about the terpene contribution, gonna try some fermented blueberries for the Blueberry ♂
Yeah, and ffj is super easy. Fpj is super easy to. Make it as you go, if you do any topping or cloning. Use any growth tips you pull off and stick them in a jar with some brown sugar. I use labs as well.
I like the blueberry idea.
Haha, sorry. I planted some new seeds today, which always puts me in a celebratory mood. Guess I was feeling a little too celebratory. I’ll reign it in…
I like this aka ffj
No worries at all man. You crack me up sometimes.
I think you have a little badger somewhere in your family tree.
Thought I’d just come and remind everyone spinosad is a banned substance due to it’s production of hydrogen cyanide.
Wow, interesting, that sounds bad but also, I have heard cyanide can actually be good in small amounts lol
I won’t use it, thanks for the heads up… hopefully the OHN will solve any further issues if any.
Great album! Rust in peace
You know, it was hell initially right? I would just get any plant from anywhere and get any disease. Except now, I’ve turned the tables on the problems that most people face. The toughest enemies were spider mites and powdery mildew. The sponsors pay me to dispense any and all information stored in my mind for a low cost to the end user of 0$. In real life or here on the forums, it’s the same thing to me. A growing rampage that lasted over 20 years. I’m like 45 or something. reminisces about old times
Day 17 Veg - Sunday
Oh boy, these ladies decided to explode on me, now I might actually be getting stressed lol
I’m def lagging on getting my other boxes built and/cause fuck taxes
Buggers are still there but I’m gonna wait a bit for the OHN or labs(not ready yet anyway)…
So claimed variegation still showing as well:
The others are looking pretty good to me:
