Weedly Update, its been 2 weeks now.

In the clone/seedling cab things are moving along.

3 Sebrings Revenge above ground, the large one is a week old and the other 2 came up 2 days ago one is a bit stunted and the other has one leaf and 1 cotyledon, that will look a bit strange, they were back up for #1 anyway.

We have the 4 OH X PAC and 3 OH, as well as the a girl Oger and and a boy SDXSL back right which is bent in half atm, its very vigorous, might keep it for pollen making. I think the 2 tall OH X PAC at the back left are boys and the rest girls but cant tell for sure atm. They are looking a bit deficient, I might up pot them as they have another couple of weeks before they will show sex I think.

The 2 SDXSL and 2 Ogers girls have gone into the veg tent, in 10 gal pots a week ago, and are starting to settle down, I will give them another week and then start to bend them about. I may leave the back left one alone it got fimmed instead of topped, and has 5 tops atm. I think my light was to close again a couple are fading a bit. I have raised my lights to 24 inches above canopy now, I hope that resolves it.

Cheers for looking.

Weedly Update late again.

In the clone / seedling cab things are moving better, the #1 Sebs Rev seedling is going strong now as soon as I get a replacement driver for my light it will be going into a 10 gal pot in the veg tent. Just waiting on to find out if Digikey want the old unit back, they didn’t last time. The 2 back up are…well interesting runty one has done virtually nothing, up top but her roots are going crazy so she got put into a party cup, as well as the mutant which seems to have topped itself getting above ground and has produced a single leaf each side and what looks like a 2 finger leaf each side growing out of the other side of the leaf.

I up potted the OH and OH X PAC plants last Tuesday their new growth is starting to look better now on top.
I am going to put the Ogers boy and the 1 girl left, center of the front 3 plants that looked really ruff last week when I up potted it, and is now looking very good in the breeding cab to try and make seeds. The female is nice and stocky like the other 2, and the male is lanky and very vigorous growing, with a touch of N tox atm, I up potted it into a 1 liter pot to keep it going, and the female will go into a 1 gal pot shortly, so it doesn’t run out of food in flower. So I am hoping they will make a good combination genetics wise but its just an experiment to check the cab works after the GDP disaster.

Temps outside have been dropping and I put my working 150w driver in the tent now to keep the heat up as the basement is getting chilly, keeping the door shut to the room has raised the temps in there 4 - 5 degrees F bringing it up to around 76F in the tent, although the soil is still pretty cool atm. They have perked up considerably after raising the light to 24 inches above canopy although the 2 SDXSL still have some N tox judging by the leaf claw but even that has lessened this week, which is making me feel a bit happier with my soil, although I expect as the soil warms up more, the bacteria will get more active and may cause it again or nute burn, we will see I guess.

Cheers for looking.

Weedly Update on time this week

In the clone /seedling cab everything is growing well even the runty Sebs Rev has gained some size. The one that topped itself is now producing healthy 3 finger leaves but seems to be alternating nodes already.

The Oger Female has been wired over to get her lower branches going, another week and I will up pot her then after she settles down I will stick her in the breeding cab with Oger boy.

The Oger boy in the corner has some N tox causing leaf clawing, other than that is in good shape, he got up potted this week as well, I am going to have to crack some branches on him shortly he is getting to tall.

The rest of the OH and OHXPAC doing well, all their new growth is looking good, and their dificiencies resolved in the up pot.

In the Veg tent.
I am hoping the light driver gets a replacement soon. I filled out all digikeys forms this week, as I asked if there was a problem with this model driver, should have not bothered, and just asked for a replacement like last time as it can now take six weeks to get an answer. So I may have to move one of the 240w lights in there temporarily.

They all got their tops wired down on Tuesday, except the back left Oger plant, 90% of the leaf discoloration on the plants has rectified itself, and they are looking quite good apart from a little PM down on some of the lower damaged leaves, so I will be spraying with some labs this week to combat that.

Back left Oger got some nice structure, I might crack those 5 stems half way up as she will be getting taller than the others and getting light burnt again.

Moved 4 more 10 gal pots inside the basement to warm them up they were almost frozen solid on Tuesday. Put them in the tent yesterday, after cutting off all the cover plants and removing a few clumps of grass and dandelions from them, to reduce any pest problems, as they were sitting outside for a couple of months. They have all got a good layer of EWC on them from the worms that are in them, I just hope its not to strong for the new plants going in them.

Cheers for looking.

Weedly Update
I the clone cab plants are looking good except the #1 Sebs Rev on the right is getting hungry, I will up pot it this week into a 1 liter, not heard anything yet from Digikey if they are going to replace the driver :frowning:
The one on the left that topped itself has just started to resume side by side nodes from alternate, runty in the middle still going slow.

The Oger girl back right is branching out now its got the top wired down, still trying to decide what to put it in when I put it in the breeding cab.

The 4 OH in the middle still not showing sex, but it wont be long. The 1 OHXPAC on the left is not showing either. The other 2 lanky ones that I thought were going to be boys are girls, so they have gone into the veg tent with the Oger boy.

In the Veg Tent.

Ambient temps have been up and down this week as well as the RH with 3 drizzly foggy days, its hard to keep the temps up with the extraction running constantly to keep the RH down to 55-60 %. But I am seeing a bit of PM on a few leaves so I need to keep the RH as stable as possible. They all got a spray down with some LABs on Wednesday probably give them another dose tomorrow.

OHXPAC girl with her top bent try and get some side branch action going.

The Other OHXPAC got the same treatment

So did the boy Oger I am going to flush it tomorrow the N tox is getting worse although the camera flash is making it look yellow.

OHXPAC front and at the back, got a little tip burn but other than that they are looking good, adding a 40% perlite and moss mix seems to have sorted the soil out well.

Oger front and back, the front one has much tighter node distance to the other, I am hoping she will branch out more being bent over, I might have to crack her lower down she is pretty stout in the stem so she is only bending 3 inches down from the top.

Cheers for looking.

Weedly Update.

Weather has been warm and humid again this week, it dosen’t feel like December. I am not complaining its saving on the heating bill.

In the Clone Cab.

The 3 Sebs Rev are gaining size. The 2 largest got up potted this week and are looking good, even runty is picking up some size now its got the whole desk lamp all to it self.

The undecideds still, actually I haven’t checked this week to see if they are showing sex yet, the back ones all got wired over on Tuesday, the 2 at the front will get it tomorrow.

The decided, 2 SDXSL on the left and right and the Ogers boy in the middle.

SDXSL on the left and Oger on the right they got some branches cracked on tuesday but they are back up again on the SDXSL the Oger is being good.

Bit blurry sorry, same position as the back pair except the SDXSL is behaving and the Oger is back where it was before bending, its got a nice stocky stem on it.

Cheers for looking.

Bringing in EWC directly from your outside worm bin is not likely helping with the critters, unfortunately… AS you said you know you are bringing in critters you can see that’s not considering all the ones and the larvae of the ones you can’t. I run worm bins but downstream of my cannabis (they eat the pruned leaves, some foodstuffs and other goodies) and the outdoor worm bin’s contents never come inside, it lands in potted plants or beds outside and is amazing. I have thought about this many times as I would like to have more of a LOS approach but it is difficult to maintain my cleanroom approach this way.

I have thought about Protocol Zeroing some worms ( washing them in water) and dropping them directly into my system while my soil bakes in hopes of washing off any mite, knat and any other parasite type microbes into a perfect enviro for them. Additionally one would want to clean out their digestive tracks as well as they can pass eggs and other tough pests straight their cold-composting process of digesting food. That could likely be done through a quarantine type treatment where they stay in another bin with clean bedding and fresh food to purge them before washing and releasing into the system. Can you tell I take my clean room a little too far yet?!?

Things seem to be cranking along again though, hope those bugs F off for you long enough to finish as you would like this time bro!

Edit: added to my ridiculous and theoretical worm protocol :joy:

It’s a good point, I never thought of the possibility of eggs just going through a worm unnafected and ending up being brought back in. I do have predator mites that I put in my soil about 18 months ago that I see running around when I am rummaging in the worm bin. I think both the times I got them were from cuttings I got from other growers. No sign yet of the little fuckers but the tent is running cool atm and none of the plants I have atm have ever had mites that may have laid eggs that have not been possibly killed off, so we will see what happens when they get in the flower room where it’s normally constantly warmer. I am still checking once a week with a scope on any damaged leaves I see.

Real scary that worm story , thanks for sharing, used to pick some worms from my garden but now I won’t no|nullxnull, had mites once and never again.

@Shadey, I hope you definitely get rid of them, they don’t like low temperatures and high humidity so hope that the winter will at least bring one good thing ejem|nullxnull, take care and stay safe … beer3|nullxnull

Clone cab has had a clean out, I feel deeply ashamed every time I visit Mr Sparkles thread lol. Still not sparkly but good enough, one of the problems of not using trays the pots leak soil with watering. I have used trays but they are never big enough for the way I want to arrange my pots. I guess I should get a big one to fit the base but then it would just end up as it has been, covered in soil.

Yes your eyes are not deceiving you, I up potted 2 OH and 2 OH X PAC into 10 gal pots this morning.

Which leaves a nice looking OH boy back left, a gangly OH X PAC girl back right. I thought I had an Ogers boy but its a SD X SL boy in the veg tent, :frowning: I might still attempt to make seeds with the 2 of them. I just hope I didn’t put the Ogers boy I thought I had, in a 10 gal pot by mistake lol.

Three SEBs REVs in the middle, a spare Ogers girl front right and an OH, still not sure, but think its a girl front left. The SEBs REVs will go into big pots when I move out the Ogers and SD X SL into the flower room probably next week.

In the Veg Tent.
Temps are dropping more as winter approaches so I was forced to turn my heater on in the veg tent last night, plants were looking a little droopy yesterday morning and they are not drinking much this last week. I have been spraying them all as a preventative for mites since I chucked out the GDP clones out. Not seen any mites but I am not taking any chances. I think I will have to reduce it to every 4 days instead of 2 or 3 as the Ogers and SD X SL are starting to look like they are suffering a bit after the Safers end all they got sprayed with last night just before lights out. I have been alternating with neem oil, bleach and alcohol as well.

Found this growing in the SD X SL boy pot, not sure what it is may be an old Sebs Rev that didnt germ in the first week and I left it in the soil.

The 2 Ogers side by side, the left one is a great looking plant structurally nice and bushy. The other is not bad either.

The 2 SD X SL they both got bent down again this week the left one has a much tighter node spacing.

The 4 newbies, front left and back right is OH X PAC and the other 2 are the OH

I still have at least 3 weeks before digikey will replace my driver so I slung in my SIL LED’s. 15 altogether 12 X 5000K, 2 outside center ones are 2700K, and the middle of the middle one, is full spectrum 60w equivalent. That should keep them happier and warmer during the day, might get up to 75F in there now lol. These wall thermostats are crap for sensitivity, I have that one set at 16C but it will come on once it drops past 20C

Thanks for looking.

That looks like a tomato from the cots! I know because I’ve had a few come up the same way.

The tomatoes were beautiful this year in the supersoil until the mites got them.

I bought a couple of these boot trays and it seems to work nicely. Biggest I could find were 30’‘x15’’ and close to an inch deep

I do have a boot tray by the front door that never gets used now my daughter and her boyfriend have moved out. The piece of Tyvek house wrap I am using does the same job, but because its was white it shows up all the dirt lol.

Weedly Update late due to trying to finish a portrait.

In the clone cab things are going ok I have managed to keep the plants relatively healthy with the Gaia Green bloom fertilizer, still trying to figure out the sex on the OH back left, it dont want to show me anything still that looks like a boy or girl. The other one front right is definitely a boy, I might do an OH X OG cross, as the OHXPAC female back right is very lanky, not a pheno trait I am looking for, although very vigorous, might be a fun cross. The 3 Sebs Rev in thge middle have had there pots made up, I need to bring the pots in from my workshop as they are frozen solid atm :frowning:

In the veg tent.

Temps are keeping up nicely with the added SILs, hitting 80F every 40-50 minutes and being brought back down by the exhaust fan to 75F. Its boosted the bacteria activity as a couple of the plants are burning up a bit.

The OH and OHXPAC are still looking grumpy after their transplant the other week. Hopefully they will pick up in another week. The Alfalfa is growing fast that was all chopped down to the soil last week, about 5 inches tall again now. All bagged and drying out in a paper bag ready to use as a mulch or tea.

The 2 OG, both looking hungry so they got top dressed with a table spoon of Gaia Green Bloom ferts each.

The right SDXSL looking very hungry, I wasn’t expecting the soil to run as quick as it has this got some Gaia Green as well.

The other SDXSL looking perfect, couple of lower fans that are not getting much light are dying off. That pot must have had a bit more N in it than the others. The top of plant with really yellow leaves on the left is the SDXSL boy in a 1 liter pot. He will be terminated as I have the OG boy now.

These four OG and SDXSL will be going into flower next weekend, hopefully the ferts will get into the system soon and I will give them some more in another week.

Cheers for looking and Happy Crimbo to you all.

Late weedly Update again.

Well ambient temps are still in the pluses during the day and just dipping into the minus C’s at night for the next 2 weeks amazingly. Normally we are in the -5 to -10C range day and night about now. Certainly help keep the power bill lower.

In the clone cab we have the Christmas left overs.
1 OH still not sure what it is. 1 OH boy and the OGers girl. Chopped the lanky SD X SL boy just curious what else is growing in the pot, doesn’t look like a cannabis plant. I also germinated 3 seeds of the Big Bang X Big Nosed Kate that got created from the Big Bang that hermied with severe light stress problems last year. I am curious to see how they turn out. I am calling it Banging Big Nosed Kate

In the veg tent is now the Spare OH X PAC girl up front in the 2 liter pot, I transplanted it yesterday, going to stick it in flower in that little pot as an experiment, to see if I can keep it happy. The other 4 are 2x OH X PAC and 2 X OH, they are greening up nicely now after their transplant 2 weeks ago.

The 3 Sebrings Revenge waiting patiently for their big girl pots that are warming up in the flower room atm, maybe tomorrow they will get switched over. I might have another bash with the STS on one of them when they go into flower.

In the flower room after another thorough clean, and taking down the gallows I built for spray painting bike bits in this rooms previous life, 2 X Ogers and 2 X SDXSL. The one SD X SL front right is still hungry but the colour is getting better everyday, I just hope the teaspoon of blood meal and the 1/4 cup of neem meal start to kick in before she gets into the stretch big time or she will end up devouring all her leaves.

My little half liter home made tiki light/CO2 generator. sitting in a tin pan in case anything should go wrong. My 2 LED lights are not making enough heat, the room is maxing out at 75F so the extraction fan is not coming on and replenishing the CO2, so until I can add more plants and lights I will fire this up for 3-4 hours a day. It is alight in the pic but the flame is so small you cant see it, even so it will keep the room above 2000 ppm’s of CO2 when running.

Cheers for looking.

Lol somthing about open flame in a tent gets me twitchy

Yeah I wouldn’t do it in the tent, but in my flower room its not so concerning, where its sat if any of the alcohol leaks and catches fire it will just burn in the steel bread pan. Might melt the rubber roofing material on the floor but it has a fire retardant in it. Great stuff, very expensive but when I was doing industrial roofing we would just sling anything less that 20ft x 10ft amounts away, $20 a sq foot. My whole basement has it under the vinyl flooring, its got an R factor of 3 as well, fibreglass wool backed.
