Thanks again everyone. I couldn’t get to it yesterday but I got her transplanted into a solo cup I didn’t have any mycorrhizal inoculant but hopefully she will make it Im really pulling for the Lil thing but I do have one more seed of the same strain and next time I’ll just start it in a solo cup with strawberry fields. I’ll try to give an update in a few days n let everyone know if she makes it
So it’s been 5 days and this is what she looks like now
I’m not sure if it really looks any better or I’m just optimistic? Lmao but I can’t just give up on her. So as long as there’s room in the tent (or until she shrivels up completely) I’ll keep trying! Lol if she does make it she will be a badass survivor
Looks better to me; the new growth is coming in pretty normally, though the leaves that were already damaged aren’t repairing and won’t. They’re just sun leaves anyway though, they’ll fall off eventually on their own as the plant grows taller and moves its energy use upwards.
Yes definitely looking better!
Now that is what I am talking about…
That little plant is looking way better…
Great job
Thanks for the encouragement!! And thanks again to everyone who recommended a transplant!! I will post some more pics in a week or two. Keep rooting for her guys!!
That soil looks pretty dry, are you keeping her watered? Good luck!
Yeah pic was right before I watered her I’ve been giving just a lil bit every day like microdosing lol I’m not sure if that’s what I should be doing but It seems to be working
Best practice is to saturate the soil and then water again when it’s dry. The roots like getting the oxygen.
For my solo cups I fill up a tray with them and then put water in the tray so the water will be absorbed from the bottom.
Pick the solo cup after a few minutes and you will be able to tell if it needs more water or not by the weight.
When the cup is nice and heavy take them out of the tray.
Pick up the cups when you want to check them.
You will be able to see if they need water or not by the weight of the solo cup.
Remember: seedlings do not have long roots so make sure the tiny roots have water.
Watering from the bottom will help with overwatering…
Cool thanks I will have to try that technique It will help the roots to extend further down too I think
I know you judge it by weight but whats like a rough estimate of how often you would need to do it for solo cups?
It depends on how big your plants are relative to the container. I would -guess- every 4-5 days for you right now but weight really is the best measure.
Ok thanks so much!! I really appreciate all the knowledge and you guys taking the time to help out!
I them big o’l plants in tiny cups/pots.
It’s a bit of work but when you have a ton of plants and space it limited this is a lifesaver.
This is another reason I use the bottom water method. Watering a bunch of smaller plants at one time in a tray save time and my back…
It is a bit of a pain but it has its advantages. I like to let them show in 1L containers and then make selections and uppot from there. My veg space is too small and this is what I’ve found works best for me.
Great point!
I have the same thing going on this round.
Letting them show in small cups/pots saves a tone of space and time.
It’s definitely a good method to experiment with and learn.
The more tools you have in your grow belt the easier it gets…
That’s a gorgeous gal
