Politics-adjacent: I always try to keep in mind something my former state senator once said: that thereās a rule in the senate that you ask people what they mean by something, you presume that people mean well and donāt assume the worst. I try my best to do that hereā¦ sometimes it works sometimes it doesnāt.
One definite upside of that approach, Iām a lot happier presuming the best of people. Collegiality for the win!

Be real. You probably agree with this, too. No one is talking about a thread about pets or other harmless social/holiday/disaster (the fans must be on at the border, smoke went down from canada) things that might be revolving around a portion of the community here. āNot cannabis related and divisive topicā is about a good of a definition of what theyāll take down as I can think of. I donāt think thereās any threads about dobermanās being superior breeds or something. Itād be weird right? But a thread of people posting their pets, thatās just community stuff.

I donāt know if anyoneās notice it is getting very hot outside. Iām over a century year-old. Does that make me a baby? Iām over 50. I have a child. He came along very late in life. It scares me. The world is changing so fast. I have seen it myself. I could show you pictures from 40 years ago. Everyone knows and if you donāt know. I will tell you. Itās not gonna get any better. Arguing and fighting about who is right and whoās wrong. We are the ones that are going to suffer because of all this. Not me. My child our children. We need to let this political shit stop.
They find a bag of cocaine at the White House. The Internet goes crazy. But what about the things that happened yesterday? The things before.
We come to OG to grow. This past year we have lost several members. It has hurt me. I want everybody to have a happy day. Forget about politics. Weāre not gonna be here much longer.

I think people doesnāt understand what it takes to ācontrolā a couple of thousand smokers with a wide span of different ages. Been on cannabis forums since -07, they have all derailed in on way or another. So keep doing what you are doing. It seems like it works atm and assess with time if you are on the right path.
As someone who lives in a country where the cannabis laws is getting harder and harder. This forum is a salvation and you Americans and Canadians bitching about matters like this, see how fast you became use to not being afraid of losing everything.

There is no free speech in somebody elseās house. This is not your house. This is not my house. This is the forum ownerās house, and heās said multiple times he will kick people out for talking politics. The whole thread so far has been people supporting him in that. Are you really trying to push your political views in THIS thread too? Seems unwise. I would argue that your argument about why you get to be political is semantics and sophistry. Appropriate when discussing lawyers, but please stop.
